    General

Is the PMP certification worth it in Finland?

Yes. The PMP is the global gold standard for project managers and is valued by Finnish employers across IT, telecom, energy and engineering. PMP-certified project managers in Finland average around 72,000 euro a year, and project management is among the fastest-growing roles, so the credential supports both pay and progression.

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential validating your ability to lead predictive, agile and hybrid projects. It is designed for project managers, team leads, delivery professionals and programme managers who lead projects and want a globally recognised qualification.

    Is the PMP recognised internationally?

Yes. The PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and widely regarded as the global gold standard of project management certification. It is referenced in employer job specifications, client contracts and procurement requirements across Finland and worldwide.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths. Path A needs a four-year degree, 36 months of leading projects and 35 contact hours of project management education. Path B needs a secondary diploma, 60 months of leading projects and the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Finland?

PMP training fees in Finland vary by format, so pricing is available on request in euro. The fee typically covers courseware, practice questions, mock exams and application support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current batch pricing.

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, full-length mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, PMI application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

The PMI exam fee is billed separately from training, for reference around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members; confirm current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 a year) reduces the exam fee and includes the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam is closed book with 180 questions in a mix of multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank formats. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It is based on the current PMP Examination Content Outline aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

What domains does the PMP exam cover?

The PMP exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals (15%), Predictive Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed numeric pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level performance feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all domains rather than a target percentage.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, simulator and trainer support are designed to help you prepare thoroughly for a first-time pass.
