    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, so the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual is permitted. It uses scenario-based objective questions that require analysis and judgement rather than simple recall, delivered online via PeopleCert OnVUE or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and you have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete it. It is based on the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner Syllabus and the 7th Edition manual.

What is the passing score for the Practitioner exam?

You need 60 percent to pass, which is 42 out of 70 marks. Because the exam is scenario-based, aim for genuine command of the method alongside efficient manual navigation.

What does open book mean for this exam?

Open book means the PRINCE2 7th Edition manual is allowed during the exam. However, questions demand analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient manual navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

PRINCE2 Foundation certification is required. Accepted equivalents also include PMP, CAPM and IPMA Level A, B, C or D. Verify the current accepted equivalents at peoplecert.org before booking.

    Course Content

Can I take this course as a beginner to PRINCE2?

Practitioner is the advanced level, so you should hold PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM first. If you are new to PRINCE2, we can guide you to Foundation training before you progress to Practitioner.

What topics does the PRINCE2 Practitioner training cover?

The training covers the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus: the seven principles, the seven practices, the seven processes, key roles and responsibilities, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, effective communication, and tailoring the method.

Are there practice scenarios and mock exercises?

Yes. The programme is built around scenario-based practice in the style of the exam, plus mock exercises and open-book manual navigation drills to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner Syllabus and the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) Managing Successful Projects manual, the current standard published by AXELOS and PeopleCert.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion certificate after meeting the training requirements. The PRINCE2 Practitioner credential itself is awarded by PeopleCert once you pass the official exam.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website, choose your format, complete payment and receive access to schedules and learning resources. Live online and classroom cohorts run regularly. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

What training formats are available in Finland?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Do I need PRINCE2 Foundation before enrolling?

To sit the Practitioner exam you need Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA. You can attend the training to prepare, and we can advise you on meeting the prerequisite before your exam.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?
