What Is the PMP Certification?UntitledYour Route to Global Project Leadership

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is the Project Management Institute's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. PMP certification training in Ecuador gives you the structured preparation to pass the PMP exam and to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches with equal confidence. Governed by PMI, the credential is built on the PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. Roughly half the exam reflects agile or hybrid ways of working, so you graduate ready for how projects actually run today in banking, oil and gas, telecoms, consumer goods and technology. Ecuador is entering a second wave of project-management professionalisation, yet a large share of practitioners still hold no international certification. That scarcity rewards credentialed leaders, and this training is your route to standing out. Prepare with experienced, PMI-aligned trainers and move from study to certified with a clear, supported path with Invensis Learning.

Industry Challenges Driving PMP Demand in Ecuador

    Certified Talent Shortage

Most project managers in Ecuador still work without an international credential, so employers compete for the few who hold one. The PMP closes that gap and lifts your market value.

PMP makes certified project leaders stand out

    Digital Transformation in Finance

Banks, fintechs and insurers are running large digital programmes, but many lack managers who can run agile and hybrid delivery well. PMP-certified leaders are hired to fill that need.

PMP builds predictive and agile delivery skills

    Capital Projects Under Pressure

Oil, gas, mining and infrastructure projects carry high cost and risk, yet weak project rigour causes overruns. PMP methods bring the planning and control these capital projects demand.

PMP builds risk and governance capability

    Inconsistent Delivery Practice

Teams often manage projects in different ways with uneven results. The PMP gives organisations one shared, PMI-aligned approach to planning, risk, stakeholders and agile execution.

PMP standardises how projects are run

    Strategy-To-Execution Gap

Leaders approve strategy, but funded projects drift from it and value leaks. PMP-trained managers keep scope, benefits and stakeholders aligned to the outcomes the business expects.

PMP links delivery to business value

    Rising Bar for Senior Roles

As PMOs mature in Quito and Guayaquil, senior postings increasingly prefer a PMI credential. Without the PMP, capable managers are shortlisted less often for the roles they want.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Ecuador?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request. Because Ecuador uses the US dollar, both training and the PMI exam are billed in USD. Contact us for current pricing and group options, and request a quote to see what fits your goals.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 35 contact hours needed for eligibility, practice questions and mock exams, exam-application guidance and learner support. Speak to a learning advisor to confirm what is included in your chosen format.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam separately in USD. For reference, PMI lists the exam at USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members; verify current fees on pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, business units and delivery teams in Ecuador. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a closed-book exam of 180 questions in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, based on the current PMP ECO and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (three hours and 50 minutes), including two scheduled 10-minute breaks. This is unchanged under the updated exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

Where can I take the PMP exam in Ecuador?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our preparation, practice questions and mock exams are designed to build your readiness so you approach the exam with confidence; re-examination fees apply per attempt.

    Course Content

Can a beginner or first-time applicant take this training?

Yes. The training is structured to guide you from the fundamentals through predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, with hands-on practice throughout. We also help you document the experience and contact hours needed for your PMI application.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The syllabus follows the current PMP ECO and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition: project fundamentals, predictive plan-based methods, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic alignment, and stakeholder engagement and communication.

Does the PMP exam and course cover agile?

Yes. Roughly half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, and the training covers Scrum, Kanban, Lean and hybrid delivery alongside predictive methods, so you are prepared for how projects run today.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the exam, plus quizzes and reference materials. These help you identify weak areas and build steady exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, reflecting PMI's updated exam structure across predictive, agile, business analysis and stakeholder content.
