    General

What is Oracle Primavera P6 training?

Oracle Primavera P6 training is a practical, hands-on course that teaches you to plan, schedule, resource-load and control complex projects using Primavera P6, the enterprise scheduling software from Oracle Corporation. It runs at Fundamentals and Advanced levels and builds skills you can apply immediately on capital projects in Ecuador.

Who should attend Primavera P6 training in Ecuador?

The training suits project planners, schedulers, project controls engineers, project and programme managers, cost engineers and PMO professionals. It is especially relevant in mining, oil and gas, energy and construction, where P6 is the standard scheduling tool on major projects.

Is Primavera P6 training worth it for my career?

Yes. Primavera P6 is a required skill on most large capital projects, and planners fluent in it are scarce in Ecuador. Learning to build, cost-load and control P6 schedules opens planner and project controls roles across mining, oil, energy and construction employers.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No. The Fundamentals level has no prerequisites and is designed for people new to Primavera P6. Familiarity with basic project concepts helps but is not required. For the Advanced level you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience.

    Is this a certification course?

No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course. There is no examination, and you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The focus is on building real P6 proficiency you can use at work from day one.

    Pricing

How much does Primavera P6 training cost in Ecuador?

Pricing is available on request and depends on the level (Fundamentals or Advanced), the delivery format and group size. Fees are quoted in US dollars, Ecuador's official currency. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes live instructor-led training across all modules, hands-on Primavera P6 exercises, structured courseware and templates, practice scenarios, learner support and a course completion record. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen format when you enquire.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for planning teams, PMOs and project departments. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

Do I need an Oracle Primavera P6 licence, and is it included?

Primavera P6 is a separate commercial product from Oracle Corporation, so you should have access to the software for the exercises. The licence is not part of the training fee. Contact us to confirm whether a training environment is provided for your session.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

No. Neither the Fundamentals nor the Advanced level includes an examination. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Primavera P6 exercises throughout each programme.

    How is my learning assessed?

You learn by doing. Each module is practised directly in Primavera P6 using realistic project scenarios, so you demonstrate skills as you build, schedule, load and control a project, rather than sitting a formal test.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning for each level you complete. The practical P6 skills you gain are immediately applicable and do not expire.

Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

Choose Fundamentals if you are new to Primavera P6 or want a solid scheduling foundation. Choose Advanced if you already use P6 and want to master resource and cost loading, earned value management, Claim Digger, multi-project control and custom reporting. You can take them independently or in sequence.

    How long is each level?

The Fundamentals level runs over two days (16 hours) and the Advanced level over three days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats. Ask about the schedule that suits you.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

Fundamentals covers the enterprise project structure (EPS, OBS, WBS), creating activities and calendars, relationships and the critical path, running the scheduler, resource assignment, setting baselines, updating progress and producing basic layouts and reports in Primavera P6.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers advanced scheduling options, schedule quality checks, resource and cost loading with cost accounts, earned value management, baseline management and Claim Digger, multi-project and portfolio control, and custom reporting with Excel integration.

Which version of Primavera P6 is used?

The course is taught on a current supported release of Oracle Primavera P6, covering both the P6 Professional desktop client and P6 EPPM (the enterprise web edition). The scheduling and project controls skills apply across recent P6 versions.

Does the course cover earned value management?

Yes. The Advanced level teaches earned value in P6, including BCWS, BCWP and ACWP and the SPI, CPI, EAC and TCPI measures, and how to present them as earned value S-curves for project performance reporting.

What materials and practice are included?

You get structured courseware, hands-on exercises using realistic project scenarios, templates and reference guides. Every feature is demonstrated live and then practised, so you build genuine P6 proficiency during the training.
