No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI members pay a lower exam fee than non-members, and membership also reduces renewal costs, so joining PMI before you apply can be worthwhile.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) time limit. It is delivered via Pearson VUE, either online proctored or at a test centre.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

How do I schedule and book the PfMP exam in Ecuador?

After your application is approved and you clear the panel review, schedule the exam through Pearson VUE, either via OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre, within your one-year eligibility period.

What happens if I do not pass, can I retake it?

Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm the current amounts on the PMI store before you rebook.

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Portfolio Management overview, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes to support your revision.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes 1000+ practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline (ECO).

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours (PDUs) earned through the programme.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP exam?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PfMP exam, PMI requires a secondary or four-year degree, plus extensive business and portfolio management experience within the past 15 years, and a subject-matter-expert panel review. A bachelor's degree needs 48 months of portfolio management experience.

How do I enrol in the PfMP course?
