Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who identify, assess, respond to and monitor risk on projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It is designed for risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who identify, assess, respond to and monitor risk on projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for my career in Nuremberg?

Yes. The RMP proves specialist risk competency that Nuremberg's automotive, energy, engineering and financial services employers increasingly seek. Risk manager roles in Germany average around 82,000 euros, with senior bands reaching 131,000 euros, making the credential a strong career and earning investment.

Is PMP required before taking PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for the RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education, though many holders also hold PMP as the two credentials are highly complementary.

    Is the PMI-RMP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the RMP is recognised by employers worldwide. It is especially valued in high-risk industries such as automotive, defence, energy, engineering and financial services, where formal project risk management is often required.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, reported through PMI's CCR system.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Nuremberg?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request in euros. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Speak with a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Request a quote to see what each format includes.

How much is the PMI-RMP exam fee?

For reference, the PMI exam fee is around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) reduces the exam cost and gives free access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and risk functions. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022. Questions span five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The RMP exam has 115 questions and a duration of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What are the eligibility requirements for the exam?

There are three sets. With a secondary diploma you need 36 months of project risk experience in the last 5 years plus 40 hours of risk education; with a bachelor's degree, 24 months plus 30 hours; with a GAC-accredited degree, 12 months plus 30 hours. Our 32 contact hours meet the 30-hour requirement.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers the five domains of the January 2022 exam content outline: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%), plus application and exam strategy.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

Anyone can attend the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education. The course itself builds risk skills step by step, so professionals new to specialist risk roles are well supported.

Does the course cover agile and hybrid risk management?

Yes. The January 2022 exam content outline incorporates predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and the training reflects this so you can manage risk across any delivery environment used by Nuremberg employers.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management overview, practice questions, mock exams and revision aids.

Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour education requirement for bachelor's degree and GAC-accredited degree candidates. Secondary-diploma candidates need 40 hours and should add at least 8 hours of supplementary risk education.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

What training formats are available in Nuremberg?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning and customised corporate group training, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

How soon can I start and are weekend batches available?

New live online and classroom batches run regularly, including weekend and weekday options. See upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find the next batch that suits you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?
