    How long is the IASSC Yellow Belt valid?

    An IASSC Yellow Belt holds Current status for three years from the date of certification. You maintain it by passing the IASSC recertification exam before the status elapses.

    What is the format of the IASSC Yellow Belt exam?

    The IASSC Yellow Belt exam is closed book, with 60 multiple-choice and true or false questions. Some forms include up to 6 additional unscored questions. It is delivered online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 60 questions and an allotted time of two hours. Some exam forms add up to 6 unscored pretest questions that do not count towards your result.

    What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 out of 300 points to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so aim for a broad understanding of each.
