Root Cause Analysis Training in China: Find Causes, Not SymptomsUntitledBuilt for Quality and Operations Teams

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Training in China is a practical, one-day skills programme that teaches professionals how to investigate problems, defects and incidents, uncover their true underlying causes, and put corrective actions in place that prevent recurrence. You learn to move beyond quick symptom fixes to permanent solutions. The course builds a complete RCA toolkit: precise problem definition and Is/Is Not analysis, the 5 Whys, the Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA and the 8D problem-solving method, plus corrective action and verification. It maps directly to the ISO 9001:2015 corrective action requirement (Clause 10.2) and to CAPA practice in regulated industries. As Made in China 2025 pushes the country's manufacturers from low-cost output towards high-value, zero-defect production, employers in automotive, EV and battery, electronics, pharmaceuticals and heavy industry need people who can find and eliminate root causes. This training gives quality engineers, operations leaders, EHS professionals and improvement teams that capability. Build lasting problem-solving skills with Invensis Learning.

Why Root Cause Analysis Skills Are Worth BuildingPractical Value from Day One

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Root Cause Analysis skills make you the person who can solve the problems others keep patching. The training suits quality engineers, production supervisors, EHS officers, Six Sigma practitioners, IT and operations professionals, and anyone who investigates defects, failures or incidents. Whether you work in manufacturing, EV and electronics, pharmaceuticals or services, you gain a versatile toolkit that applies to almost any recurring problem.

By the end of the programme you can define a problem precisely, choose the right RCA tool, run a 5 Whys or Fishbone investigation, complete an 8D report, and verify that your corrective action actually works. These are practical skills you can use at work the very next day.

    • Investigate problems methodically instead of reacting to symptoms
    • Apply the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram, FTA, FMEA and 8D with confidence
    • Write precise problem statements that separate cause from effect
    • Lead corrective action that stops defects and incidents recurring
    • Support ISO 9001:2015 Clause 10.2 and CAPA requirements at work
    • Become the person your team trusts to solve hard, recurring problems
    • Add a versatile, cross-industry capability that employers in China value
    • Open a route into quality, EHS, continuous improvement and operations roles
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Root Cause Analysis group training helps organisations stop paying for the same problems twice. Teams learn a shared, structured approach to investigating defects, incidents and failures, so corrective actions address causes rather than symptoms. Delivered onsite, live virtual or hybrid, the training can be built around your own quality escapes and safety incidents.

For manufacturers under IATF 16949, ISO 9001 or regulated CAPA requirements, a team fluent in RCA means faster, better-evidenced 8D responses to customers, lower cost of poor quality, and a genuine problem-solving culture rather than repeated firefighting.

    • Reduce recurring defects, rework, scrap and customer complaints

What Is Driving Demand for Problem-Solving Skills in China

The Made in China 2025 Quality Upgrade

As China shifts from low-cost assembly to high-value, technology-intensive production, manufacturers need rigorous root cause investigation to hit the zero-defect standards that advanced markets expect.

    RCA builds zero-defect investigation skills

Zero-Defect Pressure in EV and Batteries

Giant EV and battery plants run by leaders such as BYD and CATL cannot tolerate recurring failures. Safety-critical production makes structured RCA and permanent prevention essential.

RCA builds prevention and 8D skills

8D Demands Across the Auto Supply Chain

Under IATF 16949, OEM customers require formal 8D problem-solving reports for every quality escape, so Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers need teams fluent in all eight disciplines.

RCA builds full 8D problem-solving skills

Regulated CAPA in Pharma and Devices

Pharmaceutical and medical device makers must show rigorous root cause investigation to satisfy NMPA, FDA and EU MDR CAPA requirements, where weak analysis becomes an audit finding.

    RCA builds compliant investigation skills

The Rising Cost of Poor Quality

Thin margins in electronics and heavy industry mean recurring defects, rework and scrap hit profit directly. RCA targets the causes that drive those costs down for good.

    RCA builds cost-of-quality reduction skills

Deep in Engineers, Thin in Problem-Solvers

China's talent pool is strong in project and process engineers but short of people trained to investigate and eliminate root causes, making the skill a genuine differentiator.

RCA makes trained investigators stand out

The Skills You Will Build in the RCA CourseFrom Problem Statement to Verified Fix

This training turns theory into capability. By the end, you can define problems precisely, select and apply the right analysis tool, and verify that your corrective action prevents recurrence. Each skill is practised on realistic problem scenarios during the programme.

    Precise Problem Definition

Write clear, factual problem statements and use Is/Is Not (Kepner-Tregoe) analysis to set the boundary of a problem before you investigate, so your analysis stays focused on what actually happened.

    The 5 Whys Technique

Drill from an observable symptom to a systemic root cause by asking why in a disciplined chain, and learn to recognise when an investigation has stopped at blame rather than a true root cause.

    Fishbone (Ishikawa) Analysis

Facilitate a structured cause-and-effect workshop across the 6M categories (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Measurement and Environment) to surface every contributing cause of a complex, multi-cause problem.

    Fault Tree Analysis and FMEA

Use top-down Fault Tree Analysis with AND/OR logic for safety-critical events, and apply FMEA to prioritise corrective actions by severity, occurrence and detection.

    The 8D Problem-Solving Method

Work through all eight disciplines, from team formation and interim containment to root cause, permanent corrective action and prevention, the standard 8D format used across the automotive supply chain.

    Corrective Action and Verification

Develop effective corrective actions, tell verification from validation, and confirm that a fix has eliminated the root cause, in line with the ISO 9001:2015 Clause 10.2 requirement and CAPA practice.
