    What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

    The IASSC Green Belt exam is closed book, with multiple-choice and true or false questions covering the five DMAIC phases. It is delivered online with on-demand proctoring, or at a PearsonVUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 100 questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms, and you have three hours to complete it. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases.

    What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

    You must achieve a minimum of 385 points out of 550. Because questions are distributed across all five DMAIC phases, broad mastery of the Body of Knowledge is the best preparation.

    How and where do I sit the exam?

    You can take it online through the IASSC web-based on-demand proctoring system, available around the clock, or at a PearsonVUE test centre. You purchase the exam voucher separately and schedule your sitting.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?
