Course Content

What topics does Minitab Essentials training cover?

The course covers six modules: Minitab interface and data management; descriptive statistics and graphs; hypothesis testing; statistical process control; process capability analysis; and regression with Gauge R&R measurement system analysis, all practised live in Minitab.

What statistical graphs will I learn to create?

You learn to build histograms, boxplots, scatter and matrix plots, time series plots and Pareto charts in Minitab, and to interpret what each reveals about process shape, spread, relationships and defect priorities.

Which hypothesis tests are included?

You practise normality testing, 1-sample, 2-sample and paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA with Tukey comparisons, and the chi-square test for association, learning when to use each and how to read the p-value output in Minitab.

Does the course cover control charts and process capability?

Yes. You build I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts with Western Electric rules, then run Capability Analysis and the Capability Sixpack, interpreting Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk against specification limits.

Are Gauge R&R and regression included?

Yes. You perform simple and multiple regression with fitted line and residual plots, and run a crossed Gauge R&R study, interpreting %Study Variation and Number of Distinct Categories to judge measurement reliability.

You receive structured learning materials and realistic practice datasets for the hands-on exercises. You should have Minitab installed beforehand; ask our team about arranging software access for the session.
