    Is the PgMP certification worth it for professionals in Zurich?

    Is PMP required before PgMP?

    No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

    What if I do not pass the PgMP exam first time?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our training includes mock exams, a simulator and application support to build readiness. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is closed book with multiple-choice questions, delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What domains does the PgMP exam cover?

    Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), per the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results come from psychometric analysis and are reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    Which standard is the PgMP exam based on?

    The exam is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, from PMI. Our courseware follows the 4th Edition standard and the current ECO.

    Course Content

    Do I need prior experience to take PgMP training?

    Anyone can attend the training, but sitting the exam needs substantial experience. PMI expects documented programme management experience plus either a PMP or project management experience. The training provides the 24 contact hours and prepares you for the exam and panel review.

    What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

    The training covers the five domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus the PMI application, panel review and exam strategy.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Program Management overview, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes 1000+ practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

    PMI offers three sets: with a secondary diploma, 48 months of project management experience or a PMP plus 84 months of programme experience; with a bachelor's degree, 48 months plus 48 months; and with a GAC-accredited degree, 36 months plus 36 months, all within the last 15 years.

    What training formats are available?
