Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship, globally recognised project management credential. It validates your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches and is recognised in more than 200 countries, including across Brazil.

    General

    What is the PMP certification?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship, globally recognised project management credential. It validates your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches and is recognised in more than 200 countries, including across Brazil.

Is the PMP worth it in Brazil?

Yes. PMP-certified professionals in Brazil reportedly earn 20 to 30 per cent more than non-certified peers, and the credential is sought by IT, banking, consulting, energy and infrastructure employers running large project portfolios. It is one of the clearest ways to move into senior project roles.

Who should take PMP certification training?

The training suits project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who want a globally recognised credential. It is ideal for those working in hybrid and agile environments, professionals moving up from delivery roles, and anyone aiming for programme or PMO leadership in Brazil.

Which standard is the PMP based on?

The PMP is based on PMI's PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and references the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, the standard the updated exam is built on. Training covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery so you are ready for the current exam.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle, with a minimum in each area, within every three-year cycle.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Brazil?

PMP training fees in Brazil vary by format and provider and are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in US dollars under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing and group rates.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Talk to a learning advisor for the full inclusions on your chosen format.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMP exam fee separately in US dollars. For reference it is around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMP exam the first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our training includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the exam, so you build readiness and confidence before you sit it. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts.

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a test centre.

What are the PMP exam domains?

The current exam covers three domains: People (42%), Process (50%) and Business Environment (8%). The updated exam, based on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, is organised into five domains covering fundamentals, predictive and agile methods, business analysis and stakeholder engagement.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so focus on broad mastery across all domains.

Where can I take the PMP exam in Brazil?

You can sit the exam at a Pearson VUE test centre in Brazil or take it online from home or office via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring. You schedule it through Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility period.

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. About half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, alongside predictive project management. The updated exam makes agile even more explicit with a dedicated Agile Frameworks domain, so the training covers all three delivery approaches.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMP training?

You will learn to lead teams, plan and control scope, schedule and budget, manage risk, quality and procurement, engage stakeholders, and link projects to strategy. The content maps to the People, Process and Business Environment areas the exam assesses.

Do I need prior experience to attend?

You can attend at any experience level, and the course delivers the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires. To sit the exam, PMI asks for a degree plus 36 months leading projects, or a secondary diploma plus 60 months.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, covering predictive, agile and hybrid delivery so you prepare for the exam as it is today.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, practice questions, mock exams, an exam simulator, downloadable templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes to support your revision.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams that mirror the 180-question, 230-minute exam, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real thing.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website, choose your format, and get immediate access to schedules, courseware and resources. New batches run regularly. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to pick the right start date.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online instructor-led training, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style. Corporate delivery can be onsite, live virtual or hybrid.

What are the requirements to enrol in the training?

Anyone can enrol in the training regardless of experience. To sit the PMP exam afterwards, PMI requires the relevant degree and project leadership experience plus 35 contact hours of project management education, which the course provides.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this before your batch begins.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
