What is included in the PfMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing (for reference, around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members). PMI membership can lower both the exam and renewal fees. Confirm current fees on the PMI website.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a computer-based, closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are scenario based and span five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is delivered via Pearson VUE, either at a test centre or through OnVUE online proctoring.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%). Together they map to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, 4th Edition.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the PfMP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, simulator and trainer support are designed to build the broad mastery the exam rewards.

Do I need prior experience to take this PfMP training?

Anyone can attend the training, but the PfMP credential is a senior one. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience. The programme suits experienced portfolio managers, PMO heads and senior delivery leaders.

PMI offers three routes. All require 120 months (10 years) of business experience within the past 15 years, plus portfolio management experience of 84 months with a secondary diploma, 48 months with a four-year degree, or 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree, and a panel review.

What training formats are available in Brazil?
