What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PgMP certification recognised in Brazil?

Yes. PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Brazil and worldwide, including banking, IT services, energy and public-sector organisations that run large, strategy-critical programmes.

Why is the PgMP considered so exclusive?

Fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide hold the PgMP, which makes it one of PMI's most exclusive credentials. Rigorous experience prerequisites and an additional multi-rater panel review keep the bar high, so holding it is a strong differentiator.

Do I need a PMP before taking PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their program management experience.

How long is the PgMP certification valid?

PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, with a minimum of eight PDUs in each area.

How much does PgMP training cost in Brazil?

PgMP training fees in Brazil are available on request and vary by format and cohort. The PMI exam fee is billed separately and is not part of the training price. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI members pay a lower exam fee than non-members, and membership also gives free access to The Standard for Program Management. Confirm current fees on pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing for PgMP training?

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, as PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage.

What are the five PgMP exam domains and their weights?

The five performance domains are Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), all aligned to the current PgMP ECO.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our training and mock exams are built to support a strong first attempt across all five domains.

The training covers all five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus the PgMP application, panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

Which standard and edition is the training aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, 4th Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so you study the exact framework the exam is based on.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP ECO, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Will the training help with the PgMP application?

Yes. You receive guidance on documenting your program management experience for the PMI application and preparing for the multi-rater panel review, which are among the most demanding parts of the PgMP journey.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count toward your ongoing professional development.

What are the eligibility requirements for PgMP?

PgMP has three eligibility sets. With a four-year degree you need 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP, plus 48 months of program management experience within the last 15 years. A secondary diploma path requires more program experience.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
