    Is there an exam for JIRA training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination at either the Fundamentals or Advanced level. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises and realistic delivery scenarios throughout the programme.

    Do I get a certificate after the training?

    Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing each level. It records the training you attended; it is not a certification awarded by an external body, as none exists for this course.

    Is Jira a certification or a skills course?

    It is a practical skills course. Atlassian Jira has no formal certifying body or exam attached to this training, so the focus is on building real, applicable proficiency in Jira for Agile delivery rather than preparing for a test.

    How is my learning assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. You build proficiency through hands-on exercises and configuration activities, following along in a Jira Cloud or Data Center environment while the trainer demonstrates each feature, so you practise as you learn.

    In the 2-day, 16-hour Fundamentals level you learn to create and configure Jira projects, manage issues across the Epic, Story, Task, Bug and Subtask hierarchy, run sprints on the Scrum board, use the Kanban board, plan releases with versions, and read velocity, burndown and cumulative flow reports.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    The 3-day, 24-hour Advanced level covers custom workflows with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission, notification and screen schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation rules, integrations with GitHub, Bitbucket and CI/CD, and Jira administration and governance.

    Do I need my own Jira access for the course?

    You should have access to a Jira environment during the training. Jira Cloud offers a free trial that is enough for practice. Confirm with us whether a shared training environment is provided or whether you should set up your own Jira Cloud trial before the sessions.

    Is the training hands-on or theory based?

    It is hands-on throughout. You follow live Jira exercises using realistic Agile delivery scenarios while the trainer demonstrates each feature and configuration, so you leave able to apply the skills at work straight away.
