Apply change models to public sector change

    Cyber and Technology Uplift Rollouts

Large cyber uplift and ERP or CRM rollouts across Sydney depend on change across people, process and systems, so employers hire specialists who can drive behaviour change at scale.

Build change practice and planning capability

    Certified Change Talent Shortage

Sydney has many project managers but far fewer formally certified change practitioners. The Foundation and Practitioner pathway makes credential holders visible and sought-after.

Stand out with a recognised credential

    Change Saturation and Fatigue

With multiple concurrent programmes competing for attention, Sydney organisations face change fatigue. Practitioners who can assess capacity and build resilience protect delivery and morale.

The Change Skills You Will BuildAcross All Five Topic Areas

This programme turns change theory into practical capability. By the end you can diagnose how people and organisations respond to change, engage stakeholders, plan and deliver change, and sit both the Foundation and Practitioner exams with confidence.

    Support Individuals Through Change

Skills covered in this course start with how people experience change. Apply ADKAR and Bridges' Transition Model to diagnose where individual change stalls and design targeted support that builds awareness, desire and lasting behaviour change.

    Lead Organisational Change

Select and apply organisational change models such as Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and McKinsey 7-S. Diagnose culture using Schein's model and assess readiness before you plan and pace a change.

    Engage Stakeholders and Communicate

Map and analyse stakeholders, build engagement strategies, and design change communication plans. Use Cialdini's principles of influence to manage resistance through dialogue rather than coercion across the change lifecycle.

    Plan and Deliver Change Practice

Run change impact assessments, build a full change management plan, and integrate it with the project timeline. Manage resistance, plan training and capability building, and embed change so it sustains after go-live.

Manage Yourself as a Change Professional

Apply emotional intelligence using Goleman's four domains, plus coaching and facilitation skills, to build trust and navigate conflict. Practise reflective practice, resilience and ethical judgement under pressure.

    Pass Both Exams with Confidence

Prepare for the closed-book Foundation exam and the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner exam. Learn to navigate the Practitioner Guide efficiently under timed conditions and apply the models to realistic change scenarios.

    General

Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it?

Yes. The certification proves you can lead the people side of organisational change, which is in strong demand across Sydney's banking, technology, consulting and government sectors. Change Manager roles in Sydney average around A$150,000, and certified practitioners stand out for change and transformation roles.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices used to manage the people and culture side of change. Foundation validates your knowledge; Practitioner validates your ability to apply change approaches to real organisational scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take this change management course?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, transformation leads, consultants and senior sponsors of change. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so professionals at any career stage can start.

Is the change management qualification recognised in Sydney?

Yes. It is recognised internationally and is well respected in Australia, where organisational change management is an established profession. Sydney employers across banking, ICT, consulting and NSW Government value the credential on change and transformation roles.

What change models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence model and Cialdini's principles of influence, across five topic areas.

    Pricing

What is included in the change management training fee?

The training fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and dedicated learner support. Exam voucher inclusion can vary, so confirm the current package when you enquire. Request a quote for full details.

How much does the course cost in Sydney?

Pricing varies by delivery format, schedule and whether exam vouchers are bundled. Because fees change by region and channel, the current price for Sydney is available on request. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some bundles include both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Confirm what is included with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and transformation offices in Sydney. Contact us to discuss a tailored quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a 40-minute duration. It is closed book and single-answer, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there and what are the prerequisites?

There are two separate exams. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and must be passed first. Practitioner requires the Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent, and applies the same topics at a deeper, applied level.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam, but the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep knowledge of the models are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit either exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance to prepare you thoroughly. Re-sit fees and policies vary, so confirm the current terms with our team when you enrol.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The training covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner applies each area to real scenarios.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prior experience or education requirements, so beginners and those new to change management can start with confidence. The trainer builds concepts step by step before you move on to the applied Practitioner level.

How long is the training programme?

The combined programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as full-day intensive or extended half-day sessions, so you can pick what fits your availability.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies illustrating change models and planning, mock exams and practice questions for both Foundation and Practitioner, and guidance for open-book Practitioner exam technique.

Is the courseware aligned with the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, drawing on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).
