What Is Fuelling Change Management Demand in Brisbane

    Games-Scale Transformation

Brisbane 2032 is driving venue, rail and digital programmes across South East Queensland. Delivering them means changing how agencies and communities work, exactly the people-side capability this certification develops.

Certification builds change planning and delivery skills

    Clean Energy Workforce Change

The Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan is set to support around 100,000 new jobs by 2040. Reskilling and moving a large workforce demands structured change management, not just technical delivery.

Certification builds stakeholder and readiness skills

    Government Digital Transformation

Queensland Government departments are running HR, payroll and system transformations. Weak adoption is the biggest risk, so certified change practitioners are hired to lead engagement and embedding.

Certification builds adoption and communication skills

    Mining Operating-Model Shifts

Resources and METS employers in Brisbane and the Bowen Basin are transforming operating models and technology. These changes disrupt teams and need practitioners who can manage transition and resistance.

Certification builds resistance and transition skills

    Certified Change Talent Shortage

Brisbane has many project managers but far fewer credentialed change professionals. Holding Foundation and Practitioner makes you visible for the change roles employers struggle to fill.

Certification helps you stand out to employers

    Adoption and Benefit Leakage

Many programmes deliver on time yet fail at adoption, leaking the benefits they were funded for. Employers value practitioners who can embed change and protect return on investment.

    Certification builds benefit-realisation skills

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a two-level credential in the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts, models and approaches, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level credential in the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts, models and approaches, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Who should take this certification in Brisbane?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who guide organisational change. With Brisbane's 2032 Games, energy transition and government transformations underway, it fits anyone wanting to lead the people side of change.

Is change management certification worth it in Brisbane?

Yes. Change Manager roles in Brisbane average around $132,000 a year, and change management consultants around $150,000, with senior and head-of-change roles paying more. Employers across government, energy, resources and consulting actively hire certified change professionals. Talk to a learning advisor about your career goals.

Do I need Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. Foundation, or an accepted equivalent, is the prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. The combined programme is designed to be taken sequentially, Foundation first and then Practitioner, so you build knowledge before applying it to scenarios.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The change management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected in Australia, the UK and Europe. It is a globally transferable credential that travels across sectors and regions.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in Brisbane?

Pricing varies by delivery format and schedule, and includes courseware, exam preparation and learner support. Fees are quoted in AUD and current pricing is available on request. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share options that suit you.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware for both levels, case studies, mock exams and practice questions, exam preparation, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is available on request. Contact us to confirm what your chosen format includes.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some options bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor to confirm the current inclusion for your enrolment.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and departments. It is ideal for organisations rolling out change capability. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your Brisbane team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the payment option that works best for you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions and runs for 40 minutes. It is closed book and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, usually at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has five scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and runs for 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

What are the passing scores for both exams?

Both exams require 50% to pass. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 40 out of 80 marks across its five scenario sections. You must pass both exams to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, and our training builds this technique.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can resit the relevant exam. Our training includes mock papers, revision and open-book technique to prepare you for a first-time pass, and we guide you on the resit process. Speak with our team about retake options for your enrolment.

    Course Content

What models and topics does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers individual and organisational change models including Bridges' Transition, ADKAR, Lewin's Three-Step, Kotter's 8-Step and McKinsey 7-S, plus Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, all grounded in the CMBoK.

What are the five topic areas of the course?

The five areas are Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application level.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to anyone regardless of education or prior change experience. The training builds knowledge from the ground up before you move to Practitioner, so beginners and experienced professionals are both well supported.

Which standard is the course aligned to?

The course is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, along with the current Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

What learning materials and practice are included?

You receive CMBoK-aligned courseware for both levels, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams for Foundation and Practitioner, and open-book technique practice. These help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the course in Brisbane?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming Brisbane batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, focused one-to-one sessions and customised corporate group training. This lets you choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of training. The number of days varies with the schedule format, from intensive full days to extended part-day sessions, so you can pick what suits your availability.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training again. Contact support and our team will arrange this for you.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment before you book.
