    Mining-Led Capital Project Boom

PRINCE2 aligns delivery to funder expectations

    Infrastructure and Energy Delivery

Roads, power and water projects across the country demand product-based planning, tolerance management and risk control, the core disciplines PRINCE2 teaches and tests.

PRINCE2 builds planning and risk skills at scale

Digital Change in Banking and Telecoms

Telecoms and banking players run large IT and mobile-money change programmes. Method-driven delivery with clear business cases and stage gates reduces costly project failure.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined qualification in PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), the structured project management method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates method knowledge and Practitioner validates your ability to tailor and apply it. Both are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined qualification in PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), the structured project management method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates method knowledge and Practitioner validates your ability to tailor and apply it. Both are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Who should take this PRINCE2 course in Zimbabwe?

It suits aspiring and practising project managers, project team members, and IT professionals across Zimbabwe's mining, telecoms, banking, construction and development sectors. Foundation needs no prior experience, while Practitioner is aimed at those who will apply PRINCE2 to real projects.

Is PRINCE2 recognised internationally and in Zimbabwe?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised in more than 200 countries, with over a million certificates issued worldwide, and is especially strong across the UK, Europe and Commonwealth markets. In Zimbabwe it is valued by employers and donors that require structured, controlled project delivery.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner is renewed by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification. Confirm current renewal options at peoplecert.org.

Is the PRINCE2 combined course worth it for my career?

Yes. Certified project professionals are scarce in Zimbabwe, and PeopleCert reports that many holders see a pay rise and stronger job security after certifying. The credential opens project manager, programme and PMO roles across sectors. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Zimbabwe?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, and are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees for Foundation and Practitioner are billed separately and vary by region and channel. Request a quote for current pricing and any bundled options.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited courseware aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition, practice questions, mock exams, revision resources and learner support, plus a course completion record. Exam vouchers may be bundled depending on the package. Ask about corporate or group pricing.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and may be bundled or purchased separately depending on the package you choose. Because PeopleCert pricing varies by region and channel, we confirm the current amounts when you enrol. Request a quote for details.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and business units in Zimbabwe. Contact us for a tailored quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, lasts 60 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 7th Edition method.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes and is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It is scenario based and tests how you apply and tailor PRINCE2.

Do I need Foundation before taking Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is the prerequisite for Practitioner. Some equivalent qualifications such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA levels are also accepted. The combined programme covers both levels in sequence, with Foundation first.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online via the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged around your training as part of the combined programme.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam per PeopleCert policy, and selected plans include retake support to help you prepare again. We guide you on booking and revision so you can approach a resit with confidence. Verify current resit terms at peoplecert.org.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites and is suitable for those new to project management or to the method. The training builds from the fundamentals before moving into the applied Practitioner content, so beginners are well supported.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition, practice questions, mock exams, revision aids and topic-wise exercises for both levels, along with learner support throughout the programme.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), which introduces the People capability, renames Themes to Practices and integrates agile and sustainability considerations across the method.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) adds People as a core capability covering leadership and stakeholder engagement, renames Themes to Practices, updates the management products, and integrates commercial management, agile and sustainability. The course teaches the current 7th edition throughout.
