The Market Forces Driving Demand for Business Analysts in Zimbabwe

Digital Banking and Mobile Money Boom

Foundation and Practitioner training builds requirements skills

    Core Banking and Fintech Modernisation

Integrations with ZIPIT, Zimswitch and RBZ rules demand disciplined analysis. Certified business analysts reduce the risk of costly rework on complex core banking and payment projects.

Training builds modelling and elicitation technique

    Shortage of Certified Analysts

Zimbabwe's talent pool is deep in developers but thin in formally certified business analysts. A BCS quality-assured credential makes holders rare and sought after by employers.

A recognised credential helps you stand out

    Telecoms Digital Transformation

As operators consolidate fintech, AI and connectivity services, they need analysts who can map business processes and align new digital products with strategy and customer demand.

    Training builds business case capability

Public Sector and NGO Systems Reform

Government digitalisation and donor-funded programmes rely on well-documented requirements and stakeholder engagement, the exact capabilities the Foundation and Practitioner levels develop.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined, two-level EXIN BCS qualification that validates both knowledge of business analysis and the ability to apply it in real project scenarios. It is governed by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level EXIN BCS qualification that validates both knowledge of business analysis and the ability to apply it in real project scenarios. It is governed by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Is the business analysis certification worth it in Zimbabwe?

Yes. Zimbabwe's banks, telecoms and fintech firms are investing in digital transformation and need certified analysts. Business Analyst roles average around US$10,800 a year, and Senior and Lead bands reach US$24,000 and above, so a recognised credential offers strong career and earning upside.

Who should take this business analysis course?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT professionals such as developers and testers moving into BA roles, project team members, and practising analysts who want to formalise their skills. The Foundation level has no prerequisites, so beginners can start with confidence.

How long are the EXIN BCS credentials valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are valid for lifetime. Neither expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement once you pass.

Who governs the certification and which standard is it based on?

The credentials are governed by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, the UK's chartered professional body for IT. Both levels are aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK) and their EXIN examination specifications.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes BCS aligned courseware, case studies, mock questions for both levels, exam preparation guidance, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Contact a learning advisor for a quote and to confirm what is included.

How much does the business analysis certification training cost in Zimbabwe?

Pricing varies by delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled. Because packages are tailored to individuals and corporate teams, the fee is available on request. Request a quote and we will share current options for Zimbabwe.

Are the EXIN exam fees included in the price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. EXIN exam pricing also varies by region and purchasing channel. Confirm current exam fees and whether vouchers are bundled with your training when you request a quote.

Do you offer group or corporate rates?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for IT, change and project teams. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 40 closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The passing score is 65%, which is 26 out of 40 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension across 14 topic areas.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 40 closed-book, scenario-based multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, with the same 65% passing score (26 out of 40). Each question presents a project scenario that tests the application of business analysis techniques across seven topic areas.

Are there prerequisites for the exams?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, so the combined programme takes you through both in sequence.

How many exams are there and how are they taken?

There are two separate exams, Foundation and Practitioner, and you must pass both to hold both credentials. They are taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited testing location, usually arranged through your training provider.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam; re-sit terms and fees vary, so confirm the current policy at exin.com. Our training, mock questions and preparation guidance are designed to help you pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams with confidence.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

It covers the 14 Foundation topic areas and the seven Practitioner topic areas of the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, including investigation techniques, requirements engineering, stakeholder management, business process modelling, strategy analysis and business case development.

Can a beginner take this business analysis course?

Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior business analysis knowledge and no formal prerequisites, so beginners can start here. The programme then builds to applied Practitioner technique, supported by trainers, case studies and practice questions.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive BCS aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, and mock questions for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, along with trainer-led explanations and exam preparation guidance.

    How long is the training?

The combined programme is delivered as 32 hours of instruction. The number of days depends on the schedule format, for example an intensive full-day schedule or an extended part-day schedule, so it fits both full-time learners and working professionals.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner examination specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, so what you study maps directly to what the exams assess.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Zimbabwe?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training, classroom sessions, and customised corporate group training. Live online delivery works well for professionals across Harare, Bulawayo and the rest of Zimbabwe. See upcoming batches to pick a schedule.

When can I start and are there weekend options?

New batches run regularly, including weekday and weekend schedules to suit working professionals. Check the upcoming schedules or speak with an advisor to find the next available cohort for Zimbabwe.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact support to arrange this before your scheduled sessions.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
