The Risk Skills You Will MasterAcross All Five PMI-RMP Domains

This section answers what you will learn in the PMI-RMP programme: the practical risk capabilities behind the credential. By the end, you can identify, analyse, respond to and monitor project risk with confidence across the five risk domains.

    Set Risk Strategy and Planning

You will learn to establish the risk management approach, framework and governance for a project, confirming risk thresholds and tailoring the risk plan to predictive, agile or hybrid delivery. This is the first of the five PMI-RMP domains and shapes how risk is led end to end.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate structured risk identification using brainstorming, Delphi, SWOT, checklists and assumption analysis, then document risks clearly in the risk register with owners and categories so nothing material is missed.

    Analyse Risk Qualitatively and Quantitatively

Apply the probability and impact matrix to prioritise risks, and use quantitative tools such as Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value to model their aggregate effect on cost and schedule.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses
