    What is the format of the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner exams?

    Both exams are closed book. The Foundation exam uses single-answer multiple-choice questions, while the Practitioner exam uses scenario-based multiple-choice questions that require you to apply BA techniques. Both can be taken online proctored or at an EXIN accredited location.

    How many questions are on each exam and what is the passing score?

    Each exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. The passing score is 65% for both, which is 26 out of 40 correct. You must pass both exams to hold both credentials.

    How do the Foundation and Practitioner exams differ?

    Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension of business analysis concepts across 14 topic areas using straightforward multiple-choice questions. Practitioner tests the application and analysis of BA techniques across seven topic areas using scenario-based questions.

    Where can I take the EXIN BCS exams in South Africa?

    You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.
