Why Process-Improvement Skills Are in Demand in Trinidad and Tobago

    Heavy Reliance on Energy Revenues

Trinidad and Tobago's economy leans heavily on oil, gas and petrochemicals, so volatile prices push energy firms to squeeze cost and waste. Green Belts deliver the DMAIC discipline needed to protect margins.

Green Belt builds cost and efficiency skills

    Foreign-Exchange and Margin Pressure

Tight foreign exchange and rising input costs make every dollar of waste matter. Organisations need practitioners who can cut defects and rework, the exact problem Lean Six Sigma is built to solve.

    Green Belt builds waste-reduction skills

    Manufacturing Competitiveness for Export

Local manufacturers and food processors compete for CARICOM and regional export markets where quality and consistency win. Green Belt tools improve capability, reduce variation and raise standards.

    Green Belt builds process-capability skills

Service Quality in Banking and Public Sector

Banks, insurers and government services face pressure to cut delays and errors in customer-facing processes. Certified improvement professionals help standardise workflows and lift service reliability.

    Green Belt builds process-improvement skills

    Scarcity of Certified Improvement Talent

Trinidad and Tobago has a strong operations workforce but few certified Lean Six Sigma practitioners. A recognised Green Belt credential makes holders rare and attractive to employers.

Green Belt makes you stand out

    Pressure to Modernise Operations

As firms adopt new systems and automation, many still firefight recurring process problems. Green Belts bring a structured, data-led method that makes improvements measurable and lasting.

    Exam

What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

The IASSC Green Belt exam is a closed-book exam of multiple-choice and true or false questions covering the five DMAIC phases. It is delivered online with proctoring on demand or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 100 questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms, and you have three hours to complete it. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases.

What score do I need to pass?

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

If you do not pass first time, you can retake the IASSC exam by purchasing another voucher. Our programme includes mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance to help you identify weak areas and pass with confidence. Talk to an advisor about retake support.

Where can I take the exam?

You can sit the IASSC exam through the web-based, on-demand proctored system available around the clock, or at one of thousands of Pearson VUE test centres worldwide. Choose whichever is most convenient for you.
