What Is Lean Manufacturing and Why It Pays off HereUntitledA Practical Waste-Elimination Toolkit
The Lean Manufacturing Training is a practical, one-day skills programme that teaches you how to systematically identify and eliminate waste from production, so that every step in your process adds value for the customer. Delivered as instructor-led Lean Manufacturing training in Trinidad and Tobago, it is rooted in the Toyota Production System (TPS) developed by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo, and in the five Lean principles popularised by James Womack and Daniel Jones. Over a focused eight-hour day you learn to apply the tools that world-class factories rely on: the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, Total Productive Maintenance and continuous improvement (Kaizen). This is a non-certification course, so there is no examination. Instead you build real capability through hands-on exercises and leave with a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The programme suits production managers, manufacturing engineers, supervisors and quality professionals in Trinidad and Tobago's food, beverage, petrochemical and consumer goods plants who want to cut lead times, lower cost and raise productivity from the first shift back at work.
