What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PMI-RMP worth it in Slovenia?

Yes. Certified risk specialists are scarce in Slovenia, while pharmaceutical, energy, banking, insurance and EU-funded infrastructure employers run risk-heavy projects. The PMI-RMP proves specialist competency that supports senior risk roles and stronger earning potential.

Is PMP required before the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the credentials are highly complementary.

How is the PMI-RMP different from the PMP?

The PMP is a broad project management credential covering all knowledge areas, with risk as one component. The PMI-RMP specialises entirely in project risk: strategy, identification, analysis, response and monitoring. Many project managers add it to demonstrate advanced risk expertise.

How long is the PMI-RMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle and pay the PMI renewal fee.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours of instruction, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Request a quote for the inclusions in your chosen format.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

PMI bills the exam separately in USD under regional pricing, for reference around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members. Verify current fees at pmi.org, as they are periodically updated. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Slovenia?

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our practice questions and mock exams, mapped to the domain weights, are designed to build readiness so you approach the exam with confidence. Re-examination fees apply per attempt.

How long is the exam and how many questions does it have?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

Per the ECO effective January 2022 there are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The passing score is set through psychometric analysis, and results are reported as pass or fail with domain feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done via PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility window.

Course Content

Can a beginner take this training or do I need prior experience?

Anyone can attend the training. To apply for the exam, PMI requires risk management experience and education under one of three sets. The programme is structured to support both newer risk practitioners and experienced project managers moving into risk roles.

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers all five ECO domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, plus tools such as SWOT, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees and the probability and impact matrix, and exam strategy.

Does this training satisfy the PMI-RMP education prerequisite?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour education requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC accredited degree) candidates. Set A candidates (secondary diploma) need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk education.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-RMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, and to the PMBOK Guide and PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format and the domain weights, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

PMI offers three sets. Set A: secondary diploma, 36 months of risk experience in the last 5 years and 40 hours of education. Set B: bachelor's degree, 24 months and 30 hours. Set C: GAC accredited degree, 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be in project risk.

What training formats are available?
