Who should take PMI-CP training in Saudi Arabia?

The PMI-CP suits construction project managers, site managers, project engineers, owner's representatives and construction consultants. It is ideal for experienced professionals delivering building, infrastructure or giga-project work who want a globally recognised construction credential.

Is the PMI-CP recognised in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-CP carries global recognition and is increasingly valued by Saudi giga-project developers, contractors and consultancies delivering Vision 2030 programmes across the Kingdom and the wider GCC.

Is the PMP required before the PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary, with the PMP validating broad project management and the PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To renew, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, and report them through PMI's continuing certification requirements system.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The fee typically includes ECO-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the PMI application, and learner support with a completion certificate. Request a quote for the current inclusions.

How much does the PMI-CP exam cost?

For reference, the PMI-CP exam is about USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, billed by PMI in USD. Prices vary by region, so confirm the current fee on pmi.org. Membership can reduce the exam cost.

Does the training fee include the PMI exam fee?

No. PMI bills the PMI-CP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, so it is not part of the training fee. You pay and schedule the exam through PMI and Pearson VUE after your application is approved.

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book, using single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers four domains per the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

How many attempts do I get for the PMI-CP exam?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window that begins when your application is approved. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts.

Where can I sit the PMI-CP exam and what standard is it based on?

You can sit it online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. The exam is based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, alongside construction industry practice.

What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

You learn to manage construction contracts and claims, engage stakeholders, control scope, schedule and cost, manage risk and quality, and run project governance. The content maps to the four PMI-CP ECO domains and the PMBOK Guide.

What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules for the PMI-CP?

Before applying, you complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total.

Does this training meet the 35 contact-hour education requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 hours of project management education PMI requires. Check with us about supplementary self-study or pre-reading credited towards the 35-hour requirement.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-CP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, along with recognised construction industry standards and practice.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions mapped to the 120-question exam format, full-length mock exams and scenario-based exercises to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

You complete all four prerequisite modules, then meet one experience set: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months. All require 35 contact hours of PM education.
