Skills You Will Build in This ProgrammeAcross the Five DMAIC Phases

By the end of this Yellow Belt training you will be able to support DMAIC improvement projects, apply core Lean tools, and read the quality metrics that teams rely on. The curriculum follows the IASSC Yellow Belt Body of Knowledge at a foundational, awareness level.

Define: Frame Problems and Customer Needs

Learn to scope an improvement problem, build a simple project charter, and capture the Voice of the Customer. You will understand CTQs, the Y = f(x) problem-solving strategy, and the roles and responsibilities on a Six Sigma team.

    Measure: Quantify Process Performance

Build a working grasp of process mapping, SIPOC and the core Six Sigma metrics such as DPU, DPMO, FTY, RTY and Cycle Time. You will see how baseline data and basic statistics make a process visible before you try to improve it.

Analyze: Find the Root Causes of Variation

Understand how cause-and-effect diagrams, Pareto analysis and introductory inferential statistics help teams separate real causes from noise, so improvements target what actually drives defects and delay.

    Improve: Support Practical Solutions

Get an introduction to how teams generate, test and select improvements, including the basics of correlation, regression and designed experiments at an awareness level appropriate to the Yellow Belt role.

    Control: Sustain the Gains

Learn how Lean controls, statistical process control charts and simple control plans keep a process stable after improvement, so gains hold and do not quietly slip back over time.

Lean Tools: Cut Waste at the Source

Apply foundational Lean thinking, including the seven wastes, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke and value stream mapping, to spot and remove waste in everyday production and service processes.
