The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It suits project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who lead projects using predictive, agile or hybrid approaches and want globally recognised proof of their skills.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It suits project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who lead projects using predictive, agile or hybrid approaches and want globally recognised proof of their skills.

Is the PMP worth it for professionals in Muscat?

Yes. PMP is recognised by leading Oman employers across oil and gas, construction, banking and telecoms, and certified project managers command strong salaries. As Vision 2040 expands the project pipeline, the credential is a clear career advantage. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

Is the PMP recognised in Oman and internationally?

Yes. PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and is widely regarded as the gold standard of project management certification. Oman employers in energy, infrastructure, BFSI and government value it in hiring and procurement.

Do I need prior experience to earn the PMP?

Yes. PMP requires a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months, plus 35 contact hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP valid and how do I keep it?

PMP is valid for three years. You maintain it by earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMP training fee?

The fee typically covers PMI-aligned courseware, the 35 contact hours, mock exams, an exam simulator, question banks, templates and learner support, plus guidance on the PMI application. Request a quote for current inclusions and batch prices.

How much does PMP training cost in Muscat?

Training prices vary by format, from self-paced e-learning to live online and corporate delivery. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing. Contact us for current pricing in your preferred format, or ask about group rates.

Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, and PMI members pay less than non-members. Membership also gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and Agile Practice Guide. Verify current fees at pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments across Oman. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It is closed book and uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, delivered online or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What domains does the current PMP exam cover?

The exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition covers five performance domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (15%), Predictive, Plan-Based Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. Around half the exam reflects agile and hybrid delivery, and the 8th edition-aligned exam includes a dedicated Agile Frameworks domain worth 27%. You learn Scrum, Kanban and Lean practices alongside predictive methods.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

How many attempts do I get and how do I book?

You may take up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period. After PMI approves your application, schedule the exam through Pearson VUE, online with OnVUE or at a test centre in Oman.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers all five performance domains of the current PMP exam, spanning predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, plus business analysis, stakeholder engagement and exam strategy, all aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

Can a beginner or first-time applicant take this training?

Yes. The programme is structured for professionals new to formal PMI methods as well as experienced managers. It delivers the 35 contact hours you need and guides you through documenting eligibility for the application.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMP Examination Content Outline, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates and quizzes to build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware reflects the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, the standard PMI now examines against.

Are there practice tests and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes extensive practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator so you can identify weak areas and build confidence before the real exam.
