    Do I need any prior Jira experience to join?

    No prior experience is needed for the Fundamentals level, which starts from the basics. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or already use Jira day to day. Familiarity with Agile ideas helps but is not required.

    Will I receive a certificate after the JIRA training?

    Yes. After completing the course you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises the practical Jira skills you have developed. The course is skills-based, so there is no formal test to sit.

    Is Jira in demand in Oman?

    How are my skills built and assessed during the course?

    What do I receive on completion?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises the Jira skills you have built. There is no external credential or awarding body for this training; the value is in the practical capability you can apply at work immediately.

    Will these Jira skills expire or need renewal?

    No. The Jira skills you learn do not expire and need no renewal. Atlassian updates Jira Cloud regularly, so it is worth staying current with new features, but the core concepts of boards, workflows, JQL and automation remain directly applicable.

    Do I need to prepare anything before the course?

    For Fundamentals, no preparation is required. For Advanced, it helps to have used Jira day to day or completed Fundamentals first. Having access to a Jira environment, such as a free Cloud trial, lets you practise fully during the sessions.

    Will I be able to use Jira confidently at work afterwards?

    Yes. The course is built around live, hands-on practice, so you leave able to apply the skills straight away, from running sprints and boards to writing JQL and configuring workflows. That practical, job-ready outcome is the whole point of the training.

    What topics does the Fundamentals level cover?

    Fundamentals covers navigating Jira, creating Scrum, Kanban and business projects, the Epic to Subtask issue hierarchy, issue fields and workflows, running sprints on the Scrum board, Kanban boards with WIP limits, roadmaps, Versions, filters, basic JQL and Agile reports.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers custom workflow design with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission, notification, screen and field schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD tools, and Jira administration.

    Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

    It is hands-on throughout. You work in a live Jira environment and follow along as the trainer demonstrates each feature, using realistic Agile software delivery scenarios. This practical approach is what builds lasting Jira proficiency.

    Will I learn JQL (Jira Query Language)?

    Yes. Fundamentals introduces filters and basic JQL for finding and tracking issues, while Advanced covers complex JQL including ORDER BY, time-based functions and the CHANGED and WAS operators for historical queries. JQL is a core, highly useful Jira skill.

    Does the course cover both Scrum and Kanban in Jira?

    Yes. You learn to run Scrum delivery with backlogs, sprints, the active board, velocity and burndown, and to manage Kanban flow with WIP limits, the Kanban backlog and cumulative flow diagrams. The focus is using Jira to support both Agile approaches effectively.

    Are course materials provided?
