    What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

    The PMI-CP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and construction project management principles. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 120 questions and you get 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete it. The questions include single-answer and multiple-answer formats set in realistic construction project scenarios.

    What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

    The exam covers four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%), per the official PMI-CP Examination Content Outline.

    What are the PMI-CP prerequisites and mandatory modules?

    Before applying you must complete four self-paced PMI-CP course modules and meet one experience set: a secondary diploma with 60 months, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months of construction project management experience, plus 35 contact hours of PM education.

    What if I do not pass the exam, can I retake it?

    Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts, and our practice resources and trainer support are designed to help you pass first time.

    Do I need to complete the four PMI-CP modules?

    Yes. All candidates must complete the four self-paced PMI-CP modules, Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management, before applying. Each awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total. We guide you through them.

    What learning resources and materials are provided?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, construction contract templates, practice questions and chapter-wise quizzes to support your preparation.

    Are mock exams and practice questions included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 120-question PMI-CP format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before test day.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current PMI-CP ECO?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, so you study the construction domains exactly as the exam tests them.

    What are the eligibility requirements to enrol in PMI-CP training?

    Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PMI-CP exam, PMI requires completion of the four mandatory modules plus one experience and education set, all involving construction project management experience within the past 10 years and 35 contact hours of PM education.
