    Is a PMP required before taking the PMI-RMP?

    How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The PMI-RMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with 115 questions to be completed in 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It includes single-answer and multiple-answer questions and is delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

    The exam covers five domains from the ECO effective January 2022: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%), and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?
