    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The CAPM exam is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and covers four domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

    How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

    The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you have 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete it. It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

    Is there a fixed passing score for CAPM?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported across the four CAPM domains as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery of all four domains.

    Where and how do I take the CAPM exam?

    You can take the exam via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You have up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and practice questions are designed to help you prepare for a first-attempt pass.
