    Is there an exam for the Lean Manufacturing course?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on tool exercises, waste-identification activities, manufacturing case examples and team discussion throughout the day.

    Do I receive a certificate after the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the one-day programme. No external credential is awarded, as this is a practical skills course rather than a certification.

    How is my learning assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. You apply Lean tools through practical exercises such as a waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing, applying each to realistic production scenarios during the session.

    Is Lean Manufacturing a certification?

    No. Lean Manufacturing is a methodology, not a certification, and this course is skills training with no governing body or exam. It builds a complete, practical toolkit you can use immediately on the shop floor.

    What will I be able to do after completing the training?

    You will be able to identify and classify the eight wastes, read and build a value stream map, implement 5S, design a kanban pull system, calculate OEE, write standard work, apply SMED and lead Kaizen improvements in your workplace.

    What topics does the Lean Manufacturing course cover?

    The course covers Lean foundations and TPS, the five principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Lean culture.

    What Lean tools will I learn to use?

    You will learn to apply value stream mapping, 5S, kanban, takt time, OEE, standard work, SMED quick changeover, Heijunka and Kaizen, along with structured waste identification through Gemba-based waste walks.

    How long is the Lean Manufacturing training?

    The programme is delivered in one full day of eight hours, or as two half-days totalling the same eight hours. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, case examples and hands-on exercises throughout.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Hands-on activities run throughout the day, including a waste-identification exercise, value stream data collection, a 5S assessment, an OEE calculation and a kanban quantity exercise, so you apply each tool as you learn it.

    Is the course relevant to non-manufacturing operations?

    Yes. While the focus is manufacturing, many Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping and waste elimination apply to logistics, healthcare operations and service delivery, so professionals from those environments also benefit.
