Why Microsoft Project Is the Planner's Essential ToolUntitledYour Practical Scheduling Advantage

Microsoft Project Training in Malawi is a hands-on, instructor-led course that teaches you to use Microsoft Project (MS Project), the world's most widely used scheduling application, to plan, resource and track projects with confidence. Rather than working from fragile spreadsheets, you learn to build structured, dependency-linked schedules that keep delivery on time and on budget. Offered at two levels, Fundamentals and Advanced, the course suits project managers, coordinators, planners and PMO professionals across Lilongwe, Blantyre and beyond. Fundamentals covers project setup, task scheduling, dependencies, the critical path, resources, baselines and progress tracking. Advanced adds resource levelling, cost and Earned Value management, custom reporting and multi-project programmes. As Malawi scales its construction, telecoms, banking and development portfolios, employers increasingly want people who can turn plans into controlled delivery using Microsoft 365 tools such as the desktop editions and the cloud-based Project Online. Build that capability with Invensis Learning and apply it from your very first project.

Market Pressures Driving Demand for Microsoft Project Skills

    Reliance on Manual Spreadsheets

Many Malawian projects are still planned in spreadsheets that break as scope changes, causing missed dependencies and late surprises. Microsoft Project skills replace this with dynamic, dependency-linked schedules.

Microsoft Project builds structured scheduling skills

    Shortage of Trained Planners

Malawi's construction and development sectors report a shortage of experienced project professionals. People who can plan and control schedules in Microsoft Project are scarce and sought after.

Microsoft Project makes skilled planners stand out

    Donor Reporting and Governance Pressure

Donor and NGO programmes demand transparent progress and cost reporting. Baselines, tracking Gantt views and Earned Value in Microsoft Project provide the evidence funders expect.

Microsoft Project builds baseline and tracking skills

    Complex Infrastructure Delivery

Roads, energy and telecoms projects juggle many tasks, resources and contractors at once. Critical path analysis and resource levelling help coordinate delivery at scale.

Microsoft Project builds resource and risk skills

    Limited Delivery Predictability

Without baselines and variance analysis, slippage surfaces too late to fix. Structured tracking in Microsoft Project gives early warning so teams can act before deadlines slip.

    Microsoft Project builds progress-control skills

    Fragmented Tools and Reporting

Teams often plan the same portfolio in different, disconnected ways. Standardising on Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365 gives PMOs one consistent view of plans, resources and status.

Fees vary by level, delivery mode and group size, so pricing is available on request. Fundamentals is a 2-day course and Advanced a 3-day course, offered as live virtual, classroom or corporate onsite training. Contact a learning advisor for a quote.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all modules, hands-on Microsoft Project exercises, learning materials and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Microsoft Project software licences are separate. Request a quote for full inclusions.

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you build proficiency by following along with live Microsoft Project exercises, so you leave able to plan, schedule, resource and track projects confidently in the tool.

Does this course complement PMP or PRINCE2 training?

Yes, indirectly. Microsoft Project is the scheduling tool many PMP and PRINCE2 practitioners use to apply their methods, so these skills complement project management training. This course does not prepare you for those exams.
