What You Gain from BPM TrainingSkills You Can Apply from Day One

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

BPM training helps you move from doing the work to improving how the work flows. You gain a structured method for mapping, analysing and redesigning processes that you can use across finance, operations, IT, customer service and the public sector in Mauritius. Whether you are a business analyst formalising your modelling skills, a process owner accountable for performance, or an operations manager cutting cost and delay, the programme builds capability you can apply immediately.

By the end of the day you can take a real process, model it in BPMN 2.0, identify where value leaks, and design a leaner future state. These are practical, transferable skills that raise your credibility and open doors into process improvement and operational excellence roles.

    • Model business processes clearly using the BPMN 2.0 international standard
    • Analyse processes to pinpoint waste, delays and bottlenecks
    • Apply redesign principles: simplification, standardisation and automation
    • Define process KPIs and set up meaningful performance measurement
    • Establish process ownership and governance that sustains improvement
    • Support digital transformation by fixing processes before automating them
    • Add an in-demand, cross-industry capability to your professional profile
    • Speak a shared process language with IT, operations and quality teams
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group BPM training helps organisations in Mauritius turn scattered improvement efforts into a consistent, governed discipline. Sending a cross-functional team, from process owners and IT to operations and quality, means everyone shares one method and one modelling language. Because participants can map and analyse their own real processes during the session, corporate delivery creates immediate organisational value rather than abstract theory.

For businesses under pressure to cut cost, improve service and automate, BPM training provides the foundation: you cannot automate or digitise a process you have not first documented and improved. It equips teams to lead that work in-house.

    • Builds a shared process language across cross-functional teams
    • Standardises how processes are documented, analysed and improved
    • Reduces process waste, rework and cost across operations
    • Prepares processes for reliable automation and digital transformation
    • Strengthens the ISO 9001 process approach across the organisation
    • Embeds process ownership and continuous improvement discipline
    • Delivered onsite so teams model and analyse their own live processes
    • Scales capability building across departments and business units

    Course Content

What topics does the BPM training cover?

The course covers six modules: introduction to BPM, the BPM lifecycle, business process modelling with BPMN 2.0, process analysis and performance measurement, process design, redesign and governance, and BPM technology, automation and continuous improvement.

Will I learn BPMN 2.0 process modelling?

Yes. A core part of the day is BPMN 2.0 modelling: events, activities, gateways, sequence and message flows, pools and lanes. You practise turning a verbal process description into a validated swimlane diagram.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. Modelling exercises, process analysis workshops and redesign activities run throughout the day, using realistic scenarios so you apply each technique rather than just hearing about it.

How long is the BPM training?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours), and can also be delivered as two extended half-days. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, modelling exercises and analysis workshops throughout.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to model processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles, define process KPIs, and establish process ownership and governance, ready to apply to your own organisation.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for the BPM training?

No. This is a practical, non-certification course with no formal examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling exercises, analysis workshops and group discussion during the day.

Do I receive a certification after the course?

No formal certification is awarded, as BPM has no single governing body or examination. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises your participation, and you gain skills you can apply straight away.

How is learning checked during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, modelling exercises, analysis workshops and team activities let you apply BPM techniques throughout the day, with trainer feedback so you can gauge and strengthen your understanding.

Will the course help with ISO 9001 process requirements?

Yes. BPM strengthens the process approach that ISO 9001:2015 requires under Clause 4.4. You learn to document, measure and improve processes in a way that supports your quality management system.

Does the course prepare me for a governing body?

BPM is a vendor-neutral discipline with no single certifying body, so the course does not prepare you for a specific body's exam. It builds practical capability grounded in recognised frameworks such as BPMN 2.0 and the ABPMP CBOK.
