    Course Content

    What topics does the BPM training cover?

    The course covers six modules: introduction to BPM, the BPM lifecycle, business process modelling with BPMN 2.0, process analysis and performance measurement, process design, redesign and governance, and BPM technology, automation and continuous improvement.

    Will I learn BPMN 2.0 process modelling?

    Yes. A core part of the day is BPMN 2.0 modelling: events, activities, gateways, sequence and message flows, pools and lanes. You practise turning a verbal process description into a validated swimlane diagram.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Modelling exercises, process analysis workshops and redesign activities run throughout the day, using realistic scenarios so you apply each technique rather than just hearing about it.

    How long is the BPM training?

    The programme runs for one day (eight hours), and can also be delivered as two extended half-days. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, modelling exercises and analysis workshops throughout.

    What will I be able to do after the training?

    You will be able to model processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles, define process KPIs, and establish process ownership and governance, ready to apply to your own organisation.

    Is there an exam for the BPM training?

    No. This is a practical, non-certification course with no formal examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling exercises, analysis workshops and group discussion during the day.

    Do I receive a certification after the course?

    No formal certification is awarded, as BPM has no single governing body or examination. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises your participation, and you gain skills you can apply straight away.

    How is learning checked during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, modelling exercises, analysis workshops and team activities let you apply BPM techniques throughout the day, with trainer feedback so you can gauge and strengthen your understanding.

    Will the course help with ISO 9001 process requirements?

    Yes. BPM strengthens the process approach that ISO 9001:2015 requires under Clause 4.4. You learn to document, measure and improve processes in a way that supports your quality management system.

    Does the course prepare me for a governing body?

    BPM is a vendor-neutral discipline with no single certifying body, so the course does not prepare you for a specific body's exam. It builds practical capability grounded in recognised frameworks such as BPMN 2.0 and the ABPMP CBOK.
