Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in Malta?

Do I need a PMP before the PgMP?

No. The PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite for the PgMP. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders mainly need to document their programme management experience.

How long is the PgMP valid and how is it renewed?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each of the three areas, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

How much does PgMP training cost in Malta?

PgMP training in Malta is quoted in euros and varies by format and cohort, so the fee is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD and is not part of the training price. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, PgMP application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference it is around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership, around USD 139 a year, can reduce the exam cost.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are set across five performance domains and are delivered online or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). The training covers all five in line with the current PgMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score and how many attempts do I get?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, and reports domain-level performance feedback. You may sit the exam up to three times within your one-year eligibility period, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus guidance on the PMI application, panel review and exam strategy.

The training is aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so what you study reflects the framework the exam is built on.

Are there practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP Examination Content Outline, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Do I need prior experience to follow the training?

The training suits experienced professionals, since the PgMP itself requires substantial project and programme management experience. Anyone can attend to learn the material, but you will need to meet PMI's eligibility criteria before sitting the exam.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the 24 contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PgMP preparation and PDU record.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma you need 48 months of project experience (or an active PMP) plus 84 months of programme experience; with a bachelor's degree the programme requirement drops to 48 months, and to 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree, all within the past 15 years, plus a panel review.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
