What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, lasts 150 minutes, and is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It is scenario-based and tests applying and tailoring the method.

Do I need Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D, is required before the Practitioner exam. In the combined programme you sit Foundation first, then Practitioner.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online with 24/7 proctoring via OnVUE or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through your accredited training package.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?
