Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification is a combined, dual-credential programme governed by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. It validates both foundational knowledge and the applied use of business analysis techniques, aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

The Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification is a combined, dual-credential programme governed by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. It validates both foundational knowledge and the applied use of business analysis techniques, aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Who should take this business analysis course in Guatemala?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT professionals moving into BA roles, project managers, and practising analysts who want a recognised qualification. In Guatemala it fits demand across BPO, IT services, banking and consulting.

Is the business analysis certification worth it?

Yes. It gives you two internationally recognised credentials and skills that Guatemalan employers increasingly ask for. Senior business analyst and BI roles in Guatemala average around Q226,850 to Q269,269 a year, so certified analysts are well placed for growth.

Do I need experience or prerequisites to start?

No. The EXIN BCS Foundation certificate has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Foundation is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner, and this combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for life. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education requirement.

    Pricing

How much does the business analysis training cost in Guatemala?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so the current price is available on request. The combined programme is usually bought as a training and dual-exam package. Request a quote for live virtual, classroom or corporate options.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes BCS-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions, mock exams for both levels, and learner support. Confirm whether the EXIN BCS exam vouchers are bundled when you enrol.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

Exam voucher pricing is set by EXIN and varies by region and channel, so it may be quoted separately from training. Ask a learning advisor whether the Foundation and Practitioner vouchers are included in your package.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with volume-based pricing and customised schedules for IT, BPO and banking teams in Guatemala. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose what suits you and to see upcoming batches.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two separate EXIN exams. The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions, and the Practitioner exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What is the format and duration of each exam?

Both exams are closed book and 60 minutes long with 40 questions. Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension across 14 topics; Practitioner tests applied analysis across 7 scenario-based topics.

    What is the passing score?

The pass mark is 65% for both exams, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

How and where do I take the exams?

Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an EXIN accredited test location. They are usually arranged through the accredited training provider as part of the combined package.

What standard is the exam based on?

Both exams are based on the EXIN BCS examination specifications and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Can I retake an exam if I do not pass?

Yes. You can re-sit an EXIN BCS exam; re-sit terms and fees are set by EXIN, so confirm the current policy when you book. Our preparation, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass on the first attempt.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the business analysis course?

You will learn to investigate business situations, elicit and prioritise requirements, model processes and requirements, analyse stakeholders and strategy, and build a business case. Content spans the 14 Foundation topics and 7 applied Practitioner areas.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior business analysis knowledge and is open to all. The programme then builds to Practitioner level, so beginners and experienced staff can both follow the path.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive BCS-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and full mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, plus quizzes to reinforce each topic.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The combined programme is 32 hours, delivered as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The schedule can run over four intensive days or across more days at fewer hours per day.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware follows the current EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner examination specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the business analysis course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to an advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced options and customised corporate group training, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule in Guatemala.

    When can I start?

New batches run regularly across live virtual and classroom formats. See upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find the next available start date.

    Can I reschedule my enrolment?

Yes. You can reschedule or transfer to another batch under our flexi options. Contact support to arrange a change that works for you.
