    Is PMP required before taking PMI-RMP?

    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with 115 multiple-choice questions, delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre. It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. Questions use single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

    There are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%), per the January 2022 ECO.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

    What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

    You are permitted up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. Our mock exams and prep support are designed to help you pass first time, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

    What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

    You will learn to lead project risk across all five domains: setting risk strategy, identifying threats and opportunities, running qualitative and quantitative analysis, planning and implementing responses, and monitoring and closing risks, aligned to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

    Do I need prior experience to take this training?

    Anyone can attend the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education; the 32 contact hours provided meet the education requirement for Set B and Set C applicants. Set A applicants need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

    Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

    The 32-hour programme fully satisfies the 30-hour education requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC-accredited degree) applicants. Set A applicants (secondary diploma) need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk education.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format, plus topic quizzes, so you can find weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned with the current exam outline?
