Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined credential covering two levels of PRINCE2, the structured project management method owned by AXELOS with exams delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the method, and Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. Both are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined credential covering two levels of PRINCE2, the structured project management method owned by AXELOS with exams delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the method, and Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. Both are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Who should take PRINCE2 training in Helsinki?

The programme suits aspiring and practising project managers, team members working in PRINCE2 environments, and professionals moving into project delivery. It fits IT, telecom, banking, engineering and public-sector roles across Helsinki that expect structured, governed project management.

Is PRINCE2 recognised by employers in Helsinki?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised globally and is well established across Europe, including Finland, where public-sector and enterprise employers value its governance and business-case focus. Over 1 million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued worldwide.

What are the benefits of getting PRINCE2 certified?

You gain two respected credentials, stronger governance and delivery skills, and better access to project manager and PMO roles. Certified project professionals are well paid in Finland, where project managers average around EUR 76,000 a year and senior roles reach higher.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner is renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    What changed in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile, sustainability and commercial management. The method still centres on seven principles, seven practices and seven processes.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Helsinki?

Training is usually purchased as a combined package covering both levels, and pricing varies by format and schedule, so it is available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately by region. Request a quote for current Helsinki pricing.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams, revision resources and learner support. Exam vouchers are often bundled in accredited packages; confirm inclusions when you request a quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

It depends on the package. Many accredited combined programmes bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others quote them separately. PeopleCert sets exam pricing by region, so confirm the exact arrangement with a learning advisor.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments in Helsinki. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book, uses a single-answer format, and requires 60% to pass, which is 36 out of 60 correct.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, completed in 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and uses scenario-based questions. You need 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks, to pass.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

PRINCE2 Foundation is required before Practitioner. Some equivalent qualifications, such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA levels, are also accepted; confirm current accepted equivalents at peoplecert.org. Foundation itself has no prerequisites.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert either online through 24/7 online proctoring or at an authorised test centre. Learners in Helsinki commonly sit the exams online from home or the office as part of the combined programme.

What happens if I do not pass an exam?

You can resit the exam through PeopleCert, and a reexamination fee applies. Our trainers provide targeted revision support and mock exams to help you close any gaps before you retake, so you go in prepared.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the course follow?

The training follows the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabus and the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes for both Foundation and Practitioner, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for exam day.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for Foundation, so beginners are welcome. The Practitioner level builds on Foundation and is designed for those managing or aspiring to manage projects. The training supports you across both levels.

    Will I receive study materials?

Yes. You receive accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, reference materials aligned to the syllabus, practice questions and revision aids, along with trainer guidance throughout the programme.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style in Helsinki.

    How soon can I start?

New batches run regularly across live virtual and corporate formats. See upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find the next start date that fits your timeline.

Can I reschedule or transfer my batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
