What Is the Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification?UntitledYour Route to Senior Programme Leadership

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who coordinate multiple related projects as one programme to deliver strategic benefits, and PgMP certification training in Helsinki prepares you to earn it. Held by fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide, it is one of the Project Management Institute's most exclusive qualifications. This instructor-led programme is aligned to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and covers all five performance domains: strategic programme management, programme life cycle management, benefits management, stakeholder engagement and governance. You also get structured support for the PgMP application and the subject-matter-expert panel review that sits alongside the 170-question, four-hour exam. As Helsinki employers in ICT, telecommunications, energy and financial services scale complex, strategy-critical initiatives, they increasingly separate certified programme leaders from the rest. If you are ready to move from managing projects to governing programmes, start your PgMP journey with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PgMP is PMI's senior programme management credential for professionals who coordinate multiple related projects as one programme to achieve strategic benefits. It is designed for programme managers, PMO leaders, delivery directors and senior practitioners, and fewer than 3,000 people worldwide hold it.

    General

What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

The PgMP is PMI's senior programme management credential for professionals who coordinate multiple related projects as one programme to achieve strategic benefits. It is designed for programme managers, PMO leaders, delivery directors and senior practitioners, and fewer than 3,000 people worldwide hold it.

Is the PgMP worth it for programme leaders in Helsinki?

Yes. Helsinki employers in ICT, telecommunications, energy and financial services increasingly value certified programme leaders as they scale strategy-critical initiatives. The PgMP validates senior capability and can support roles such as Head of PMO and Programme Director. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

Is the PMP required before the PgMP?

No. The PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP certification satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across PMI's Talent Triangle, with at least eight PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.
