    What is the format of the Black Belt exam?

    The exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice test based on the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge. It contains 150 questions to be completed in 4 hours, with a reference document of formulas and tables provided during the exam.

    How many questions are on the exam and what is the passing score?

    The exam has 150 scored questions, and some forms include up to 15 additional unscored questions. You need a minimum score of 580 out of 750 points to pass, so aim for broad mastery across all five DMAIC phases.

    Is the exam taken online or at a test centre?

    You can choose either option. The exam is available through web-based online proctoring on demand, 24/7, or at over 8,000 Pearson VUE test centres across 165 countries, so you can sit it in a way that suits you in Algeria.

    What is the exam application process?

    You can take an optional non-proctored evaluation exam to check readiness, then purchase the exam voucher from the certifying body and choose your delivery mode. After scheduling and passing the proctored exam, you receive your certificate, digital badge and listing in the official register.

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 150-question, 4-hour format, along with topic-wise checks, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before you sit the real exam.
