    Is the CSPO certification worth it in the Dominican Republic?

    Yes. Dominican banks, fintechs, telecoms and nearshore IT firms are scaling agile delivery and value certified product owners. CSPO validates your product ownership skills, positions you for Product Owner and Product Manager roles, and is recognised worldwide.

    Does the CSPO have an exam?

    No. CSPO has no exam. You earn the credential by completing an approved CSPO course delivered by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), so you finish the course already certified.

    Do I need prior experience to take the CSPO course?

    No. There are no formal education or work-experience prerequisites. The course suits those new to the Product Owner role as well as practitioners wanting to formalise existing experience.

    How long is the CSPO certification valid?

    CSPO is valid for two years. To renew, you earn 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee. A two-year membership is included when you complete the course.

    What will I learn in the CSPO course?

    You will learn Scrum theory from the Product Owner's view, the Product Owner role and accountabilities, product vision and the Product Goal, Product Backlog management, stakeholder collaboration and value, and release planning.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. There are no prerequisites, and the course is built for newcomers as well as experienced practitioners. The trainer uses practical examples and exercises so beginners can apply the concepts with confidence.

    Is the course aligned with the latest Scrum Guide?

    Yes. The course is aligned to the current Scrum Guide (November 2020 edition) and the Scrum Alliance CSPO learning objectives, including the Product Goal as the commitment of the Product Backlog.
