Market Forces Driving Agile Scrum Demand in the Dominican Republic

Agile Talent Gap in Nearshore Delivery

The Dominican Republic's nearshore sector is scaling fast for North American clients, but demand for people who understand Scrum outpaces supply, exactly the gap ASF-certified professionals fill.

    ASF builds job-ready Scrum knowledge

    Inconsistent Scrum Across Teams

Many organisations say they are agile but apply Scrum differently in every team. A shared foundation certification gives everyone the same vocabulary for roles, events and artifacts.

ASF sets a common agile baseline

    Banking and Telecom Digital Push

Dominican banks, insurers and telecoms are running major digital transformation programmes that rely on agile delivery, driving demand for certified Scrum team members.

    ASF supports agile transformation

    Real-Time Agile Collaboration

Time-zone alignment with North America means Dominican teams join the same daily stand-ups and sprints as onshore clients, so fluent Scrum practice is now a core expectation.

    ASF makes you sprint-ready

Waterfall to Agile in the Public Sector

With technology declared a national priority under Decree 324-24, government and enterprise teams are shifting from plan-driven delivery to agile, creating new opportunities for certified professionals.

    Rising Bar for Certified Professionals

As agile adoption matures, employers increasingly prefer candidates who can prove their Scrum knowledge with a recognised credential rather than informal experience alone.

The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation (ASF) is an entry-level certification that validates your understanding of the agile way of working and the Scrum framework. Governed by EXIN, it is designed for anyone who wants to work with or within a Scrum team and is the first level in the EXIN Agile Scrum scheme.

    General

What is the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation certification?

The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation (ASF) is an entry-level certification that validates your understanding of the agile way of working and the Scrum framework. Governed by EXIN, it is designed for anyone who wants to work with or within a Scrum team and is the first level in the EXIN Agile Scrum scheme.

Who should take Agile Scrum Foundation training?

ASF suits professionals new to agile, project team members joining a Scrum team, and traditional project managers moving into agile. In the Dominican Republic it is popular with developers, testers, business analysts and coordinators in IT, banking and nearshore delivery.

Is the Agile Scrum Foundation certification worth it?

Yes. ASF is a globally recognised, lifetime-valid credential that proves your Scrum knowledge to employers. As Dominican organisations adopt agile for nearshore and digital delivery, certified professionals stand out for Scrum Master, Product Owner and agile team roles.

Do I need any prerequisites for ASF?

No. EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to complete beginners, regardless of education or prior agile experience. Attending an accredited training course is recommended to prepare for the exam.

How long is the ASF certification valid?

The ASF certification is valid for life. It does not expire and requires no renewal, re-examination or continuing education, so once you pass you hold the credential permanently.

What comes after Agile Scrum Foundation?

ASF is the recommended starting point for EXIN Agile Scrum Master (ASM), the intermediate level focused on the Scrum Master role. Foundation gives you the agile and Scrum knowledge you need before you progress.

    Exam

What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification and aligned to the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto.

How many questions are on the ASF exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a time limit of 60 minutes (one hour). It is delivered online with proctoring or at an accredited test location.

What is the passing score for the ASF exam?

The pass mark is 65%, so you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our mock exams and practice questions help you reach that standard with confidence.

What topics does the ASF exam cover?

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

You can re-sit the EXIN exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance to give you the best chance of passing first time. Ask us about re-sit options when you enrol.

Is the course suitable for beginners?
