    General

Is the PMP certification worth it in Denmark?

Yes. The PMP is widely recognised by Danish employers in pharma, energy, shipping, IT and consulting, and certified project managers in Denmark typically earn well above non-certified peers, with senior bands exceeding kr 900K in energy and IT. It signals structured project leadership that is in strong demand.

What is the PMP and who is it for?

PMP (Project Management Professional) is the Project Management Institute's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who want to validate their ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours. The training provides those contact hours.

Which edition and standard is the current PMP based on?

The current PMP is based on the PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, with the updated exam introduced by PMI in mid-2025. It covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, so your training reflects the latest PMI standard.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To renew it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, reported through PMI's continuing certification requirements system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMP training fee?

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for delivery teams, PMOs and departments across Denmark. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a closed-book exam of 180 questions taken over 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, aligned to the current PMP Examination Content Outline.

What domains does the current PMP exam cover?

The updated exam, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, Business Analysis and Strategic Management, and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication.

Where can I take the PMP exam in Denmark?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility period.

What is the passing score for the PMP?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and you receive domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all domains.

What if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, with a reexamination fee for the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, question banks and trainer guidance are designed to build your readiness for a first-time pass.

    Course Content

Can a first-time applicant handle this training?

Yes, provided you meet the PMI experience requirement of leading projects. The training builds from fundamentals through predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, so experienced practitioners can follow the content and connect it to their own project work.

What will I learn in the PMP training?

You will learn project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery, agile and hybrid frameworks, business analysis and value delivery, and stakeholder engagement, all aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current exam outline.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes full-length mock exams, extensive practice questions, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build confidence for the 180-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is PMI-aligned and reflects the current PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, including the dedicated agile and business analysis content of the updated exam.
