    There are two separate EXIN exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials. The Foundation is usually sat first, followed by the scenario-based Practitioner exam.

    The Foundation exam has 40 closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam also has 40 closed-book questions in 60 minutes, but they are scenario-based and test how you apply BA techniques to realistic project situations.

    What is the passing score for the exams?

    The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct. The same threshold applies to the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

    Do I need to pass Foundation before the Practitioner exam?

    The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level. The Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so the combined programme takes you through both in sequence.
