What Is Kaizen and Why It Matters to Danish Operations TeamsUntitledChange for the Better, Every Day

Kaizen Training in Denmark is a practical, one-day programme that teaches professionals to apply Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement that means change for the better, to real workplace processes. Rooted in the Toyota Production System (TPS) and brought to global business by Masaaki Imai in his 1986 book Kaizen: The Key to Japan's Competitive Success, the methodology builds progress through many small, team-based changes rather than rare, large projects. Across Denmark's pharmaceutical, wind energy, food and industrial manufacturing sectors, teams use Kaizen events to eliminate waste, shorten lead times and raise quality. This training shows you how to run those events end to end, from a Gemba walk and root cause analysis through to future-state design, standard work and sustaining the gains. You will practise the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), 5S and the Kaizen newspaper through hands-on simulation, then apply them the next working day. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, it is a strong step for anyone building a continuous improvement culture. Start your improvement journey with Invensis Learning.

Kaizen builds waste-elimination and standard-work skills

    Sustaining World-Class Productivity

Denmark is among the most productive economies with some of the fewest hours worked. Holding that edge means removing waste continuously, exactly what daily Kaizen and Gemba practice deliver.

Kaizen builds daily continuous improvement habits

    Wind Energy Scale-Up

With capacity targeted at 10,000 MW and 33,000 people employed in wind, turbine and component makers need faster flow and fewer defects, which team-based improvement events directly address.

Kaizen builds flow and quality improvement skills

    High Labour Costs

High Danish wage levels reward efficiency. Employers look for people who can strip out non-value-adding work, rebalance processes and raise output per hour through structured Kaizen.

Kaizen builds efficiency and value-focused skills

    Automation and Robotics Shift

Denmark's robotics and collaborative-automation ecosystem is transforming production. Kaizen ensures new technology lands on stable, standardised processes rather than automating existing waste.

The Kaizen Skills You Will Put to WorkFrom Gemba Walk to Standard Work

This one-day programme teaches you the practical skills to run continuous improvement in your workplace. By the end you can plan and facilitate a Kaizen event, apply Lean tools with confidence, and sustain the results your team achieves.

Plan and Facilitate a Kaizen Event

Learn to select the right target, set measurable objectives, assemble a cross-functional team and lead a structured Kaizen event through its phases, from Gemba observation to implementation and closeout.

Apply the PDCA Cycle to Real Problems

Use Plan-Do-Check-Act as the backbone of every improvement, defining the problem, trialling countermeasures, checking results against targets and standardising what works so change is data-driven, not guesswork.

Spot and Remove the Eight Wastes

Identify Muda, Mura and Muri and categorise the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) at the Gemba, then prioritise the improvements that will cut lead time, defects, inventory and unnecessary motion.

Find Root Causes with 5 Whys and Fishbone

Move quickly from symptom to cause using the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams and simple process mapping, so your team fixes the real problem instead of firefighting the same issue again and again.

Organise Work with 5S and Standard Work

Apply Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain, and build clear standard work so a clean, organised workplace reveals problems and locks improvements in place.

Sustain Gains and Build a Kaizen Culture

Use the Kaizen newspaper, visual management and 30-60-90 day follow-up to prevent backsliding, and embed daily improvement so small changes by everyone add up over time.

Kaizen facilitation supports roles from production supervisor and quality manager to Lean and continuous improvement manager, where structured improvement is in steady demand.

Do I need prior Lean knowledge to attend?

No. Some familiarity with Lean ideas such as waste and flow is helpful but not required. The programme introduces the PDCA cycle, the eight wastes, Gemba, 5S and standard work from the ground up, so beginners and experienced practitioners both gain from it.

How is Kaizen different from a big transformation project?

Kaizen delivers improvement through many small, team-based changes made continuously, rather than rare, large projects. This makes gains more sustainable and keeps everyone involved. The training also shows how Kaizen sits alongside Lean, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping.

    Pricing

How much does Kaizen training cost in Denmark?

Pricing varies by delivery format, whether individual or corporate, and group size. Because these factors differ per booking, the fee is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote tailored to your needs.

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led delivery of all six Kaizen modules, hands-on workshop simulation, structured courseware and learning resources, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Request a quote to confirm exactly what is included in your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and departments. Corporate delivery is especially effective because your team can practise a Kaizen event on your own processes. Ask about group pricing for a tailored quote.

Are there any additional or hidden fees?

No. As a non-certification course, there is no separate examination or awarding-body fee to budget for. The training fee covers the programme itself. Any optional add-ons are made clear before you enrol, so speak with an advisor for a full breakdown.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and can discuss instalment options on selected plans and corporate bookings. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you best.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Kaizen training?

No. Kaizen training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on workshop simulation, team activities and group discussion during the one-day programme, so you practise the method rather than sit a test.

Do I receive a certification after the training?

There is no formal certification or awarding body for the Kaizen methodology. On completing the programme you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. The value is in the practical facilitation and continuous improvement skills you can use immediately at work.

How am I assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, hands-on Kaizen event simulation exercises and team activities run throughout the day, letting you apply the PDCA cycle, waste identification and improvement tools in a realistic setting with trainer feedback.

Will the skills expire or need renewing?

No. Because no certification is awarded, there is nothing to renew. The Kaizen skills you learn are immediately applicable and do not expire, so you can keep applying and building on them in your workplace.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to plan a Kaizen event, facilitate a team through its phases from Gemba observation to standardisation, apply tools such as 5S, standard work and the Kaizen newspaper, and embed daily improvement to sustain the gains you make.

    Course Content

What topics does the Kaizen training cover?

The programme covers six modules: the Kaizen philosophy, the PDCA cycle and thinking tools, planning a Kaizen event, running a Kaizen event, Kaizen tools such as 5S and standard work, and sustaining improvements to build a continuous improvement culture.

What Kaizen and Lean tools will I practise?

You practise the PDCA cycle, Gemba walks, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, 5S, standard work, the spaghetti diagram, cycle-time observation and the Kaizen newspaper, all within a realistic improvement scenario.

How long is the Kaizen training?

The course runs for one day, eight hours in total, and can also be delivered as two half-days. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on workshop simulation throughout.

Is the training hands-on or theory based?

It is highly hands-on. Alongside clear explanations of the concepts, you take part in workshop simulation exercises where you plan and practise elements of a Kaizen event, so you leave able to apply the method rather than just describe it.

How does Kaizen relate to other Lean training?

Kaizen complements Value Stream Mapping, which identifies where events should run, 7 QC Tools, which support root cause analysis, Poka Yoke, which sustains gains, and Lean Six Sigma, where Kaizen events feature in the Improve and Control phases.

    Enrollment

What are the prerequisites to enrol?

There are no formal prerequisites. The course is open to operations managers, team leaders, Lean practitioners, quality professionals and anyone involved in improvement, regardless of prior training or education.

How do I enrol in the Kaizen course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete the booking, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Reach out to a learning advisor if you would like guidance first.

What training formats are available in Denmark?

The training is available online as live virtual instructor-led sessions, as classroom training, and as on-site corporate delivery for teams. Choose the format that fits your schedule and how your team prefers to learn.

Can the training be delivered on-site for my team?

Yes. On-site corporate delivery lets a cross-functional team train together and run a Kaizen event on your own real processes during the session. Contact us to arrange a group booking and see upcoming schedules.

How soon can I start, and what if I need to reschedule?

New sessions run regularly across live virtual and classroom formats, so you can usually start soon after enrolling. Selected plans allow you to reschedule to another batch. Talk to a learning advisor to find the next convenient date.
