What Is Driving Demand for Certified Construction Leaders

    Contract and Claims Complexity

Czech megaprojects run on layered contracts, variations and claims. Contracts Management is half the PMI-CP exam, the exact skill employers need to control cost and dispute risk.

PMI-CP builds contracts and claims skills

    Record Infrastructure Pipeline

With a record EUR 3bn rail budget in 2026 and high-speed lines entering tender, Czech programmes need certified construction leaders who can deliver them on time and budget.

PMI-CP builds delivery and coordination skills

    Nuclear and Energy Mega-Builds

The Dukovany new-build and wider energy investment create long, high-risk capital projects. These demand the scope, schedule and governance rigour the PMI-CP validates.

PMI-CP builds scope and governance discipline

    Certified Talent Shortage

Czechia has many experienced site professionals but few hold a globally recognised construction PM credential. The PMI-CP helps you stand out for senior delivery roles.

PMI-CP makes certified leaders stand out

    Cost and Schedule Overruns

Rising material and labour costs squeeze margins on Czech projects. Employers value leaders who can baseline, forecast and recover schedules using proven PMI methods.

    Your Czechia Career Transformation

    Where You Stand Today,

And Where PMI-CP Certification Takes You

Czechia's construction market is expanding with record rail investment, nuclear new-build and a recovering housing pipeline, and employers increasingly separate certified construction leaders from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Pay capped with limited leverage to negotiate in the Czech market

    After PMI-CP

Construction project managers in Czechia average around Kč 1.21m, with senior and director bands reaching far higher

    After PMI-CP

Eligible for programme, owner's representative and construction director roles across rail, energy and building

    Today

Confident on site, but employers want proof of contract and governance skill

    After PMI-CP

Fluent in contracts, claims and project governance, the domains Czech employers prize most

    You earn your PMI-CP

    Before

Authority based on years on site, not a recognised credential

    Now you have

A globally recognised PMI credential built specifically for construction delivery

    Before

Contract and claims exposure handled reactively, project by project

    Now you have

A structured command of contracts, variations and dispute management

    Before

Delivery focus with limited stakeholder and governance visibility

    Now you have

The stakeholder, scope and governance skills large Czech programmes require

    Before

Recognition fades when you change employer or sector

    Now you have

A credential that travels across contractors, developers and consultancies worldwide

"The gap between running a site and leading construction delivery is increasingly a recognised credential, and the employers that matter already know it."

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-CP is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for construction project management. It is designed for construction project managers, site leaders, owner's representatives and PMP holders who deliver building, civil and infrastructure projects and want globally recognised proof of their expertise.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-CP is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for construction project management. It is designed for construction project managers, site leaders, owner's representatives and PMP holders who deliver building, civil and infrastructure projects and want globally recognised proof of their expertise.

Is the PMI-CP recognised in Czechia?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-CP is recognised in Czechia and in over 200 countries. It is valued by contractors, developers, energy clients and consultancies delivering large Czech programmes such as rail modernisation and the Dukovany nuclear new-build.

What are the four PMI-CP domains?

The exam covers four domains from the Examination Content Outline: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts management is by far the largest, reflecting its central role in construction delivery.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-CP?

No. A PMP is not required for the PMI-CP. You can apply directly based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, with PMP covering general project management and PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, reported through PMI's CCR system.

    Pricing

What does PMI-CP training in Czechia cost?

Training fees vary by format and cohort, so pricing is available on request. Your fee covers instructor-led sessions, PMI-aligned courseware, mock exams and application guidance, while the PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current rates.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD. For reference it is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org, as PMI updates pricing periodically.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the four ECO domains, domain-weighted mock exams and practice questions, downloadable templates, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the PMI application, and learner support with a completion certificate.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with tailored schedules and volume pricing for construction and engineering teams. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a total time of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book, using single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

How are the PMI-CP exam domains weighted?

The four domains are weighted Contracts Management 50%, Stakeholder Engagement 30%, Strategy and Scope Management 15% and Project Governance 5%, per the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline. Your study time should follow these weights.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

How many attempts do I get, and can I retake it?

You may take up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm the current amounts at pmi.org.

Where can I sit the PMI-CP exam in Czechia?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Test centres are available in Czechia and worldwide.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

You will learn to manage construction contracts, engage stakeholders, control scope, schedule and budget, and govern delivery, mapped to the four PMI-CP domains. The training combines concepts with real construction scenarios and exam practice.

What are the four prerequisite modules?

Before applying, PMI requires four self-paced modules: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, 56 in total. We guide you through them.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes domain-weighted mock exams and practice questions aligned to the 120-question, 230-minute format, plus quizzes and templates to help you find and close gaps before exam day.

Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, alongside the construction industry standards referenced by PMI, so your preparation matches what the exam tests.

Does this training meet the 35 contact-hour requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, close to but below the 35 hours PMI requires across all eligibility sets. Ask our advisors how supplementary self-study can be credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

You can enrol in training at any time. To sit the exam, PMI requires all four prerequisite modules plus one of three experience sets: 60 months construction PM experience with a secondary diploma, 36 months with a bachelor's degree, or 24 months with a GAC-accredited degree, each with 35 contact hours.

How do I enrol in the PMI-CP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

What training formats are available in Czechia?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training and customised corporate group training for teams across Czechia, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and project commitments.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another cohort, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations follow our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
