    Is Microsoft Project training worth it for my career?

    Yes. MS Project is the industry-standard scheduling tool, and employers across Czech automotive, IT, construction and energy sectors value people who can use it confidently. The skills apply directly to project manager, planner and PMO roles and are useful the moment you return to work.

    Should I attend the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

    Choose Fundamentals (2 days) if you are new to MS Project or use it occasionally and want a solid foundation in scheduling, resources and tracking. Choose Advanced (3 days) if you already use it and want to master resource levelling, Earned Value, custom reports and multi-project management. You can take either level independently.

    Do I need prior experience to take this training?

    No prior MS Project experience is needed for Fundamentals; basic familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office is helpful but not required. For the Advanced level, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on experience with the software.

    What version of Microsoft Project does the course use?

    Is a Microsoft Project licence included in the price?

    Microsoft Project is a separate product from Microsoft Corporation, so a licence is not part of the training fee. You should have MS Project installed and accessible during the course; check with your advisor whether a trial option is available for your session.

    Is there an exam for Microsoft Project training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either level. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on MS Project exercises using realistic project scenarios throughout the programme.

    Do I receive a certificate after completing the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. It confirms you have completed the training; it is not an external credential, as the course does not award a formal certification.

    How is my learning assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise each feature hands-on in MS Project as the trainer demonstrates it, building a complete project plan step by step so you gain real proficiency during the sessions.

    Will I be able to use MS Project confidently afterwards?

    Yes. By the end of Fundamentals you can build and track a full schedule with dependencies, resources and baselines. After Advanced you can also handle resource levelling, Earned Value, custom reports and multi-project programmes.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the Microsoft Project training?

    You will learn to set up projects, build a work breakdown structure, schedule tasks with dependencies and the critical path, assign and level resources, set baselines, track progress and produce reports. The Advanced level adds cost management, Earned Value, custom views and multi-project management.

    How long is each level of the training?

    The Fundamentals level runs over 2 days (16 hours) and the Advanced level over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or as extended half-day formats depending on the schedule.

    Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

    It is highly hands-on. You follow along in MS Project while the trainer demonstrates each feature, working through realistic project scenarios so you build genuine software proficiency through practice rather than theory.

    Can I use my own project data during the training?

    In corporate and group sessions, teams can work on their own real project plans, which makes the learning immediately relevant. Public sessions use realistic sample scenarios that mirror common project situations.

    Does the course cover Microsoft Project Online?

    The training focuses on the Microsoft Project desktop application and also introduces Microsoft Project Online, part of Microsoft 365, including how it supports enterprise project and portfolio management.
