Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Change Management Foundation and Practitioner is an internationally recognised qualification for managing the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change models and concepts, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real change scenarios. Both are earned in one combined programme.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

Change Management Foundation and Practitioner is an internationally recognised qualification for managing the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change models and concepts, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real change scenarios. Both are earned in one combined programme.

Who should take the Change Management certification?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR and organisational development professionals, consultants and leaders who guide organisational change. There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation level, so it is open to anyone starting or formalising a change career.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Colombia?

Yes. Change management consultant roles in Bogota average around COP 135M a year, and demand is rising across banking, energy, consulting and fintech as transformation accelerates. Certified professionals stand out in a market with far more project managers than credentialed change leaders.

What are the prerequisites for the Foundation level?

None. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, regardless of education, experience or prior change management knowledge. The Practitioner level does require you to hold the Foundation certification first.

Which standard and syllabus is the course based on?

The training is based on the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the official Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. It draws on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

    Pricing

How much does the Change Management training cost in Colombia?

Fees vary by delivery format and schedule, and the combined package covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels. Pricing for public batches and corporate cohorts is available on request. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current options.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both exams, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment.

Are the two exam fees included in the training price?

The combined programme is usually offered as a training and dual-exam package, though inclusion can vary by plan. Confirm whether the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are bundled when you enrol. Ask a learning advisor for the current package details.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change, PMO, HR and leadership teams. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam is 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario sections worth 16 marks each (80 total), runs 2.5 hours, is open book, and also needs 50% (40 out of 80).

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice test of 50 single-answer questions with a 40-minute duration. You need 50%, or 25 correct answers, to pass. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation portion of the training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario based, with 5 sections worth 16 marks each for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. You need 40 marks (50%) to pass. Each section presents a realistic change scenario requiring analysis and judgment.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario questions require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit the exam you did not pass. Retake policies and any fees are confirmed at enrolment. Our mock exams, practice questions and exam technique guidance are designed to help you clear both the Foundation and Practitioner exams on your first attempt.

How are the two exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered through online proctoring or at an authorised test centre. They are typically scheduled at the end of the relevant part of the training, Foundation first and Practitioner after.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The programme covers five areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management. Foundation builds knowledge, and Practitioner develops applying these to real scenarios.

Which change management models will I learn?

You will work with ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and the McKinsey 7-S framework, plus Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and is beginner friendly, so you can start even if change management is new to you. The trainer builds from the fundamentals before moving into scenario-based Practitioner application.

    What learning materials are included?

You receive aligned courseware covering both levels, industry case studies, practice questions, full mock exams for both the closed-book and open-book formats, and revision aids. These help you connect the models to real organisational change.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The combined programme is a 40-hour course, commonly run over five days, with the exact number of days varying by daily schedule. It is delivered live virtual (online), in the classroom, or as customised corporate training.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the Change Management course in Colombia?

Choose your preferred format on the Invensis Learning website, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help selecting a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom training, and customised corporate group training. This lets you choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning style across Colombia.

    When are the upcoming batches?

New weekday and weekend batches open regularly for both public and corporate cohorts. See upcoming schedules on the website or speak with a learning advisor to reserve a place that fits your calendar.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, subject to the plan you choose. Contact support to arrange this before your batch begins.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
