    Is the exam fee included in the training price?

    No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI members pay less than non-members, and PMI individual membership also gives free access to the Standard for Portfolio Management. Confirm current fees on the PMI store.

    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it. The five domains are Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%).

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

    How do I schedule the exam and can I retake it?

    After your application is approved and you clear the panel review, schedule the exam through Pearson VUE, either at a test centre in China or via OnVUE online proctoring, within your one-year eligibility period. Up to three attempts are permitted in that window.

    Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

    Anyone can attend the training, and it is designed for senior professionals. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, which the trainers help you document for the application and panel review.

    What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PfMP exam?

    PMI requires a secondary or bachelor's degree, plus 120 months of business experience within the last 15 years, and 36 to 84 months of portfolio management experience depending on your education. A subject-matter-expert panel review is also required.

    How do I enrol in the PfMP course in China?

    You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to pick the right batch.

    What training formats are available?
